Unable to get past step 2 in Novice Guide
I purchased the WalkingPad A1 Pro to use while working from home. I was very eager to use the Automatic mode, as this was the deciding factor in purchasing this brand over others on the market. However, I am unable to use this feature as it is locked until you complete the Novice Guide in KS Fit. Each time I try to complete the Novice Guide, I am unable to get past step 2, due to the app not recognizing that I am pressing the + button to increase the speed. I’ve tried restarting the walkingpad, exiting and retrying the Novice Guide, and deleting and redownloading the app, with no success. I am able to increase the speed to 3.75 mi/hr using the remote when I am not in the Novice Guide; however, I can’t increase the speed past 1.75 mi/hr while in the Novice Guide. Very disappointed and frustrated.

Love that it tracks and can control pad from it
Overall I think this is pretty good. I can use it to start the walking pad and adjust the speed. I can set exactly how fast I want it to start when I step on using the app. It tracks all my steps and distance. I can use the remote to start it if I want as long as I have the app open. Occasionally it has a hard time reconnecting if I walk away from the pad but closing and reopening always fixes it. The only issue I’ve had is I have it set up to communicate with Apple health. When I go into Apple Health I can go in and find how many steps KS reported but for some reason that total doesn’t reflect in my steps for the day total for Apple health. Some of them do just not all. I link Apple health to my calorie tracking app so it would be helpful they communicated better. Other than that I have absolutely no issues.
Tjgordon7,
Ok app needs a few improvements
So I’ve had my walking pad and the app in use for a couple weeks and overall it works and is ok. No problems connecting or tracking the exercise HOWEVER for the app developers a couple suggestions;

Once you are connected and start the exercising the app displays “in motion” stats just like the bar on my pad and you can’t leave that screen to go back to the KSFIT Home Screen without stopping the exercise, why??? You should be able to toggle between in motion and main KSFit home screen.

Not sure if this is fir the app or the walking pad, however after exercising and stopping I realized I didn’t start the app and when I opened afterwords and it connected it didn’t not show the 4 miles I just did, is there no memory on the walking pad to hold this data until it syncs with the app the next time??

Useful Walkingpad data & remote control
This is a surprisingly solid app. I use it daily at my walking desk and manage the data and the treadmill device through the iPhone app. I can give a tip: sync often with your phone. Do this before you unplug the machine or if power is lost, because the treadmill doesn't remember data. App outages have been actually quite rare, and not more than 12h or so (once). I recall they're in Asia so I gave it some time due to knowing cust. support is sleeping on opposite times from north america. No worries. I like their data tracking overall and the functions on the app remote are quite helpful!
Ephrem Schwartz,
I'd give this negative stars if I could
For what you pay for a WalkingPad, you would think their software would have at least been proofread; how hard would it be to hire an editor fluent in English?

The app hangs up while running the Novice Guide. It locks out the remote when it hangs. There is no reason for the app to access location information. And uniquely, the app requires text input to be in Chinese characters (the UI designer and testers really need to rethink their career paths if this is an example of the skill they bring to the job).

Many of my complaints reiterate those of other reviewers and it is truly amazing they have not been addressed yet. It also speaks volumes about the company behind the WalkingPad.

Fundamental Tracking Issues
Considering the purpose of the app is largely for tracking, there is much to be desired. The app does not consistently synch with the treadmill, or with Apple Health. It seems that the app must be open for tracking to happen, and still the synch to Apple Health is inconsistent. Perhaps there is no onboard memory on the treadmill, which would create a problem but it’s a big miss. These are bare minimum requirements for such an app.

Regarding control of the treadmill I would very much appreciate incremental steps smaller than 0.5 (e.g. 0.25 if not 0.1).

Hope to hear improvements coming as it impacts the overall experience quality of the product.

Useless for steps tracking
Every time you step off of this treadmill it start tracking steps in new. So you get off to go to the bathroom and do a few things come back and it’s back down to zero. That would be fine if it regularly updated a Pedometer app or Apple health app or some thing but it doesn’t! One day I felt like I was getting a lot of steps but it was slowly approaching 8000 by end of day. my goal is 10,000. At the end of the day it finally updated and I had done some thing like 21,000 steps. I was so exhausted and just frustrated that I can’t keep an accurate total. I hate it! Today it’s not even thinking at all so I have no idea what I’ve achieved
WHATHAPPENED??,
God awful app
I’m so happy that the quality of this app does not reflect the quality of the Walking Pad at all. I’m also ecstatic that, after the initial setup, you don’t actually need to keep the app.

I love my walking pad and I’ll put up with the app to get it set up, but if you’re reading this please just get rid of the app after that. It’s glitchy, it’s not accurate with the time/distance traveled, everything is poorly translated, it’s just… bad. But again, the walking pad itself is amazing. So if you’re deciding whether or not to get the machine based on the reviews, get the machine!! Just… use the app as little as you can.
Photoliv41,
KS Fit doesn’t let me log in!
I have tried several times to register & log into this app since December of 2020. Every time it refuses to accept my password, which always contains letters & a number. I don’t add special characters either.

I find it ridiculous that the manufacturer of this device, the WalkingPad, cannot provide its customers with any servicing information.

This has got to be the absolute worst company! If you do manage to reach anyone via phone or email, they send you elsewhere, but the people they send you to just send you back! So you go in circles without ever getting any answers!
Panzer1980,
So far so good..
Since prior other ppl reviews it appears as though they have updated the app, I noticed it works pretty well, it’s pretty customizable and even if it unpaired with your phone it repairs right away and will show you the current status of how long you’ve walked, and how many steps, etc. It looks like they’ve improved drasticalls urge people to give it another chance. It seems pretty intuitive as well.
