Description

The "Meditation Time App" is a simple and clean timer for your meditation session. It lets you set the duration of your meditation and offers a mindfulness bell that rings in an adjustable interval. Choose from a wide variety of Tibetan singing bowls for the gong.
If your surroundings (or your mind) happen to be a bit more noisy, turn on the relaxing natural sounds during your meditation and find that peaceful and quiet place within you.
We also included some basic teachings and a very pleasant guided meditation to help you find the way.

"Meditation Time is a light and practical support for my meditation without any distractions. "

---

---
"This app breathes consciousness, sparkles with spirit and is so usefull at the same time."

LCM2468,
Love this app
I started to consistently meditate last week. After doing the starter guided meditation for 30 minutes my body pains were gone that day. I haven’t felt pain free for many, many, months. Having my own business and dealing with clients add stress. Although I workout, apparently, I was not releasing mental stress. I had pain everywhere and I do not like to take drugs; therefore, I just deal with it. Some days, I do yoga ad gentle stretches too. But still most days I’m in pain. I can’t believe the very first day I did the guided meditation my body was so relaxed. It seems to be the only thing to give me deep stress relievers. I love the ability to use the background sounds and can rely on the timer to go off with the gong sounds I choose. So I am meditating daily anywhere between 15-30 minutes a day. Thank you developers. I appreciate this app. Namaste.
Summer Bockaroni,
Too many bugs. Very distracting. Why haven’t I given up yet?
I try to use this app regularly and it doesn’t work. Sometimes it won’t gong on the intervals. Sometimes it does. Today, it made popping noises during the interval gongs. It sounded like distortion or peaking in the audio recording of the gong. Very loud pops compared to the quiet gong. And then at the end of the meditation, the gong did not sound. I find this all very distracting and it makes it difficult to sink into my meditation. Especially not trusting it will go off when I set it. So I set a backup alarm now to go off when the app malfunctions. I’ve never used this app and had all features work as expected. My boyfriend introduced me to this app and it works beautifully on his phone and iPad. He has older versions of both. I have a very recent iPad and iPhone. Possibly why? I don’t know. But I wish it would work so I could create some consistency in my practice when we meditate together and when I meditate alone. I will change this review to more stars when it starts working better.
fusedshadow,
Has all I need
I love this timer. I've used a few. For me, the apps that keep track of every detail obsessively are the worst. I started with those apps which appealed to my ocd but I became more and more stressed over a few years comparing myself to others and worrying what they think. When I started meditating, again, a few years ago, I committed to doing any amount of meditating every day—no guilt. Even today, if I can only get even 10 or 15 minutes it counts. This app lets you set a timer, your choice of sounds, interval alerts, and ambience if you want any. Even how loud you want the ambience. It has everything you need without making it overly complicated. When you are ready to break out on your own, this is the app I would recommend.
csnicho2,
Experienced Meditators, DO NOT waste 30 minutes on the guided meditation!
I just downloaded the app and have only used it once, doing the guided meditation so I cannot speak to the other features as yet. My initial impression after exploring it and doing the one meditation leads me to suspect that I will not keep it, but I will give it the benefit of the doubt for now and test it again.

HOWEVER, I do want to warn you that if you already have a meditation practice, I would advise you NOT to waste 30 minutes doing the included guided meditation. I was curious and so tried that for my 1st one, but it was a total waste of 30 minutes! Every time I began entering into silence, the man's voice would start talking again and pulled me up out of the meditation. Several times, it actually startled me pretty severely!

For anyone completely new to meditation, "perhaps" it might be helpful, but for anyone with an existing practice, it definitely is NOT.
Catechizer,
Simple and effective!
I have been meditating now for over a year. Just had a visit with my doctor and my blood pressure is way better overall. And even after three minutes of meditation, my blood pressure will drop 10 to 15 points both diastolic and systolic. Western medicine likes to call it mindfulness because they don't want to be stereotyped with Buddhism.

I do not believe every single thing of any religion. I try to take what is beneficial for my soul and spirit from each.

I am sorry to my friends and family who feel from their different religious viewpoints that I will go to hell. That makes me a little sad, but I am learning to let go of things I cannot control. And one of the big things I cannot control is other peoples views. I have also learned to really stop judging others and myself. Most of us intend to be decent people.

You may want to try to meditate to have more peace in life. Not trying to be preachy, I guess I just care about people because I know what it's like to have severe anxiety. Meditation, like anything it takes time to learn. There are a few types, find the one right for you.

I wish and pray for peace, love, and all good things to everyone.
IzoldaT,
Simple, elegant, lovely.
I’ve been using this app for about a week and already it’s my favorite meditation app ever. It is simple. It’s design is elegant. It doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles, but you don’t need a lot. It lets you choose the amount of time you want to meditate in five-minute increments. It has a fair number of bells and chimes for sounds. It has mindfulness times and timing. It does whatever you want. If I had a single quibble, I would want to have the time increments be by the minute instead of by the five minutes. But that is only for people who are trying to extend their Meditation Time and don’t feel ready yet to do a full five-minute jump. Otherwise this app is perfect.
iam111111111111111111111111,
Bless you sir
Seriously great app. Thank you.

Whoever it was who made these ambient noises all over the world really needs to tone it down a little. A forest is supposed to be quiet and peaceful and this sounds like you’re at a drive in movie with nothing but sea birds. The noise level alone

But not this app’s fault. It is the best and let’s you control the volumes independently. But just way to many birds, way to much going on in all of the ambient noises. Just chill. There seems to be like one source of these in the whole world and everybody has to use the same ones. My alarm clock in the 90s had the same terrible ambient noises. Do it Apple you love making content
CammieKr,
Help
I have enjoyed and used this app for over a year. Then the other day, I opened it and it has somehow switched to German instead of English. I have tapped on everything on the app, trying to find a way to switch the language back to English and I’m unable to fix it. I composed an email, but was unable to send due to an “invalid email address”. The sudden change and inability to reach someone about this issue is the only reason for the low rating. The app itself is great. Hopefully someone will respond to this review, because what good is a meditation app, if you are unable to use it? Please don’t disappoint. Also the only link for help is on the donate PayPal page. When I clicked the “app support” link, it takes you to the description of meditation, how to meditate, no link for actual help with problems with the app. Strange.
zpka2410,
Excellent and calming
I have tried several meditation apps, but I keep coming back to this one. The app is well designed and the speaker is very soothing. It’s simple, effective, and well put together. I just wished they had created more sessions because I can only see/find one 30 min. session. I’ve been checking back here and there if they have done any updates to the app, but it’s been the same one session for years so not sure if they just stopped doing the sessions or they have a paid version now, which I honestly wouldn’t mind paying for. Excellent app.
Crunchy Catholic Mama,
(Almost) exactly what I was looking for
Simple. I like the sound options. I wasn’t initially looking for anything with an interval chime, but I’ve found it to be unexpectedly helpful. All around great app. The only things that would make it a tiny bit better for me would be to allow setting the duration and interval times via keyboard or a spinner (I’m not especially fond of sliders for this) and to allow at least half minutes instead of whole minutes only. Neither of these is a dealbreaker though. I’m just glad the dev is keeping the app updated!
