Melo is an audio-based social media app created to connect underground artists with listeners in a guaranteed fashion—think of it as a combination of TikTok and SoundCloud, where musicians post 30-second snippets to a TikTok-like feed, and listeners receive bite-sized chunks of really cool music from artists they've never heard of. If they like the snippet of a released song, they can stream it directly on any streaming platform.

Melo and why I love it!!!
Melo is a good app and as an underground artist myself (drxxco14 on all plats) I really apreciate this app. Only reason why I didnt rate it a 5 star was because of some quality of life changes.
One example is how his entire promo for the app is “tiktok brought to soundcloud” yet we still cant link our soundclouds or tiktok to our melo page. We also cant upload soundcloud songs
Another thing is how there isnt a dark mode or a dark blue (like twitter has) for the app. This is just personal preference but can make the app way cleaner and look better
Lastly on the topic of cleaner I would say try making the app look cleaner and less crowed with all the buttons
Other than that its a really good app and has the potential to be really impactful for underground artist and their career. Not to mention it already impacted many artist already such as Most Wanted and Jay Chris.

Great Idea, Not Great Execution
Love the idea and concept! It’s a really cool way to find new artists you might enjoy, and it isn’t as much sensory overload as TikTok/IG/etc. That being said, it needs some work from a programming and marketing perspective.
To say the app is buggy is an understatement. Uploading media to the app is kind of a nightmare, and notifications register about 20% of the time. Speaking of uploading media, an app that caters to enthusiasts of underground music, but has no option to upload WAV files makes zero sense to me. Connecting to servers takes way longer than it should as well. Needs some fine-tuning.
If you are a bedroom pop/rap/hiphop artist, you’ll find your audience on this app. If you literally do any other genre of music, there is no market for it. Much of what I find on the app sounds very similar to each other, and there isn’t so much an audience as there is a bunch of other musicians liking each other’s content. There is no way to reliably track metrics (I.e. who has actually seen what you post, how long they listened to the track), which can be hard to determine if your tracks are getting shown to anyone at all.

Great app
As an underground artist, it’s hard to get your music seen or heard by people. As long as this app is executed the right way I think by the end of the year this can be a great way for normal music listeners to find great music and artists they never would’ve found before the existence of this app, I also think it can be a great way for anyone in the music industry to make new connections. I’m very very excited for the future of this app

Excited for the future of this app
This app looks great. I especially like it because it’s still smaller so it’ll be easier to grow on it than other larger overcrowded apps. I only have one thing I would reccomend: giving users the ability to upload other music files besides mp3. Honestly, the majority of songs are in mp4 format. That’s my only suggestion! I’m very excited to see where this app goes :)

Soundcloud meets TikTok!
This app is extremely clever and is probably the best thing for an underground/up and coming artist to use if they are looking for exposure. The creator is taking songs straight from the app and pretty much giving them free promo by posting it on his tiktok! You seriously can’t find this anywhere else. If you’re looking for a push to get your music out there, this is a must have app!!!

Needs work lol
I saw it on TikTok and was like aw that’s Wasup. I downloaded it and went to upload a song. It’s hard to choose a snippet of the song you want to post, It bugs and freezes. after finally getting it how I wanted, I posted it, i got a notification saying upload was successful and then a few seconds later it says upload failed. I’ve tried multiple different ways to get it to work but it fails. The app crashes too. Great concept and gots potential it just isn’t there yet. Hopefully they can fix the bugs. when they do I’m sure it’ll be a five star app. Until then this beta app isn’t any good.

super unique & innovative. i’m excited to see where Melo goes in the near future!
my only “complaint” would be tiny glitches here & there. my profile would be fully loaded, but the whole page is blank. i’ve only had one instance of it crashing on me.
perhaps an issue on my side?
perhaps little bugs that can be tweaked as time goes on?
regardless, i’ve already found great artists music! this app gets me excited to connect with underground artist like myself!

awesome app
Fun discovering people that you would never be able to find otherwise, also fun to put out your own stuff that people will see even just for fun, I think there is still some small issues but I have faith that this will be very great in the future. 10/10

Great app, just needs continuous improvement and added features until it is pretty much as functionable as SoundCloud respectively , better searching and stations etc , just anything to make it more social and bandcamp soundcloud oriented
