You begin by creating custom spelling lists and recording* words. Recordings of sentences can be added to go along with sound alike words (homonyms) like weather and whether. Spelling lists can be shared to other My Spelling List users with email.

You child can begin to memorize their list by using the “Listen & Learn” and the “Word Flash” flash card based activities.

There are three games to help make learning fun. The “Matching Game” is similar to a traditional memory game and utilizes spelling words. The “Missing Letter” activity helps prepare for a spelling test by presenting each word with a single missing letter. The “Word Scramble” activity is fun way learn as letters are slide into proper order to create a word!
*** Test ***
The spelling test activity has two modes to allow you to customize the test to match individual learning styles. The interactive mode lets your child know how they are doing as they take the test. In the non-interactive mode, results are made available at the end of the test. When a test is completed there is an option to just retake missed words, or to retake the entire test. Results can also be printed out or emailed to a parent or teacher.
*This is an interactive app and requires the use of a microphone to record words and sentences!

Please fix
Love using this app. But when you get your test results & their are two options, retest all words or retest missed words, the two links are very close to each other and it always selects the retest all words instead of the few that were missed. Please put these two options further away from each other.
Another thing is that it is easy to cheat using the voice dictation, please disable that option on tests.

Can’t airdrop but love the spelling games
Got this app because it said u can share across multiple devices. Every time I try it says failed. Email is always blank if I do it that way. Emailed support but no answer of course. Love the games though just wish I could sync it on multiple devices instead of having to redo whole list.

Poor functionality
This app started out great for the first weeks spelling test! My son that has struggled with spelling got his first 100% ever. However, this week's spelling test has given me nothing but problems. The games kick my boys out of the app, forcing them to start over, which has really frustrated them. Also even though they spell some of the words correctly, it will mark them incorrect. That is also extremely frustrating to two 9 year old boys. I am going to get a refund.

Great app!
Recently discovered this app and I love it! I use it for my child who is in elementary school. I like that you can customize each list and that there are many ways/ games that the child can use the lists to study and learn the words. I recommend this for all school age children!

Ended the battles over studying for spelling tests
I love this app so much! It ended the battles with my child over studying for spelling tests. He enjoys it now. He likes the games and being able to do the test by himself. He's taken ownership of it and feels more responsible. I can check his progress easily. I'm so happy I found this app!

Don't buy it
It looks good and functions well as a stand alone app BUT there is no way to share the lists across multiple devices. Ugh!!!

Will not work
1.5 was just downloaded to my iPad and it is not asking to use the microphone so, it is not working like it should. I am so upset!
