PLEASE for the love of all that is holy, leave the tubes at the values of what they are instead of overriding them with whatever is on the app when you connect. Right now it is impossible to fine tune a light on a set unless you connect beforehand, you will lose your settings and potentially ruin your shot if you try to tweak in the middle of anything.

There needs to be a way to gang effects across groups of lights so there can be consistency if what is projected on the tubes. Right now pixel effects are just a smattering of whatever. At the very least give us a way to do multicolor at assignable points (one half one color, one half another, etc)

I might update this if it becomes incredibly frustrating in the future, but with all the one and two star reviews I wanted to say that I just purchased 2 ProTube II 6Cs, and right out of the box I was able to easily connect and control them individually, and they worked great. Much easier to navigate through the app than the on light controls, though both are good, and if I’m setting up a scene, I’m glad I have a remote option, especially since I will likely be using these vertically, which would make using the built in controls difficult.

Maybe it’s just beginners luck, but to me it looks like the devs heard your complaints and worked to fix them. One effect I would love to see added, although I could probably choose a fade that would work, is a “Streetlight” mode. Like when a car is driving on a highway passing under streetlights.

So, I was having an issue where the app would not recognize any of my T8 7X fixtures, no matter what I tried.
In the manual, there’s directions for resetting Bluetooth by pressing all 3 of the main buttons at the same time until the tube flashes blue. After doing that for each light, I was able to connect all 4 without issue and have not had a problem since.
If the app is not finding your fixture, and you have the ability to reset Bluetooth, I’d start there.
The app is definitely a bit slow and clunky. Hoping they show this some development love as I appreciate the direction and would really enjoy using a more refined version of the app.

The app is great and very intuitive, I have Nanlite, Nanlux and Ledgo fixtures which all can be controlled by the app using the transmitter box which is great bc I can use my old lights with my new lights with the app! The network outage was a pain, but they let us know in the FB user group and it wasn’t that long. Every brand has issues along way and I like this company, so it’s all good. Anyway, I think this app matches up very well with a lot similar apps from other brands except this one is a little intuitive to use IMHO.

Why does the app require user contact and access to the content on my device? Photos, emails, text this has zero to do with light control. Privacy policy is that the developer can access (copy) your data and use it how they decide. Other manufactures that provide remote light control do request any of this access and those apps work fine. You can claim that you don’t use our data but nothing stops you as long as you are granted permission though the App.

I’ve used a couple tube lights for photography without using the app. They’ve added some amazing effects to my photos. I downloaded the app and am mesmerized with all the different effects that can be done with them. The lamp without the effects was worth it, but with the effects takes it to another level: passing street light effects, pulsing, color changing, etc. Highly recommend!

The lights don't consistenly connect. They have issues with the control. For expensive as the lights are, there shouldn't be this many issues. I have two T8s, and had two 15cs. I had to return the 15cs because although I purchased the transmitter box, they don't allow for you to control both the HSI & CCT. It's either or. I reached out their customer support and they confirmed right now that is a limitation which was dissapointing and also makes the transmitter box half useless. I also have issues with connecting of the lights, etc. Not happy nor impressed as I am a new nanlite customer.

I can’t even go back from one tube’s settings to the previous screen. The arrow won’t work to go back so I have to close the app and re open if I want to switch between tubes, very frustrating. I’m on iPhone 14 max. Also the settings don’t seem to save + you guys really need to make a master control where you can control all the lights at the same time so all their settings Mach instead of going back n forth between individuals.

I managed to download the firmware and connect via Bluetooth with the light (pavotube II 6C.

However, after connecting, any settings (color, mode, dim %) I change on my iphone doesn’t change the light. I know it’s connected because when I turn off the light, it indicates that it’s disconnected. And then when I turn it on, it indicates that it's connected.

I've tried deleting the fixture and reconnecting, restarting the app, and turning on and off the light so far.

I'm writing this primarily as feedback to the developers and would be happy to offer more feedback. Or in the case I'm doing something wrong, please let me know.

App is a PAIN! Menu button is placed where phone’s clock is so it’s near impossible to click into the menu. It never saves profiles or auto connects to fixtures. You’ll be stuck deleting and re-adding your lights each time you want to use them. This app is sooooo unfriendly.

Developers - how about having devices auto connect, and make it easier to select changing settings individually or together. Your app is beyond frustrating and makes me suggest people buy Apurture RGB tubes over Nanlite Pavo.
