In the world of Pokémon Sleep, Pokémon with the same sleep type as you will gather around as you catch some Zs, so discover all the various different sleep styles that Pokémon can have as you aim to complete your Sleep Style Dex!

What A Day Looks Like in Pokémon Sleep

■ When Night Falls...
It’s time to track your sleep! All you need to do is place your smart device by your pillow (don’t place your device under your pillow or blankets as it may overheat), then call it a night.

■ A New Day Dawns
By the time you wake, Pokémon will have gathered in Pokémon Sleep based on your sleep type and how long you slept for. Carry out research on these Pokémon’s sleep styles to complete your Sleep Style Dex!

■ And the Rest of the Day...
Raise Snorlax big and strong! Snorlax will grow larger by receiving Berries from the Pokémon you befriend. The more you raise Snorlax, the greater your odds will be of encountering Pokémon with rare sleep styles!

Rest Your Very Best!

■ Check Your Sleep Report
What kind of sleep did you get last night? Your sleep report contains tidbits like how long you took to fall asleep, how long you spent in different sleep stages, and whether you snored or talked in your sleep.

■ Get Support to try to Sleep Your Best
You can have Pokémon at your side even when you sleep! With features like Pokémon-inspired music to relax you into sleep, plus smart alarms that wake you when you’re in a shallow stage of sleep, Pokémon Sleep may help you to rest your very best.

Stellar356,
Keep turning it off in middle of the night
I love the app it’s really cute and I love the inclusion of more than just gen 1 Pokémon I’m so happy to see more diversity in the options and not to mention the professor is adorable and so is the whole art style of the game and I like that there is some stuff you can participate in while awake too that’s a nice touch and it’s a great app defenitly but I do have some complaints

Since you can’t turn your phone off while using it that means that the app will turn rgjjt back on if you tap the screen and you also need to have in on your mattress next to you to work so the issue I’ve been having is that I the middle of the night I will accidentally press the screen in my sleep and that will turn off the app and end the tracking resulting in inaccurate sleep results and I’ve also tried setting an alarm with it but because I accidentally turned it off at 2:00 am in my sleep the alarm didn’t go off and I woke up late so my mom had to get me up but I could see this being a problem in the future a single thing such as you have to hold the screen for 3 seconds to end the sleep tracking or just you can turn your phone off while it tracks woild easily solve this problem and I sincerely hope they do fix it so i can get accurate results and the alarm to actually work.
TordsComment,
Cute Game But Minor Bugs
I REALLY love this game! I’ve been playing it for almost 2 weeks now and I love the feeling of waking up to see what Pokémon I have found hoping there’s a shiny one. My phone never overheats and neither does my charger thanks to the game dimming the screen or basically putting it in some kind of sleep mode. I’ve see reviews on phones overheating but we move in our sleep so you may have slept on it. Anyways, I do find it nice that there is a game that can track your sleep without paying like certain apps and I can get some feedback and some funny little recordings here and there.

With the actual game though, if you take a nap and then go to bed that same day, it will not let you at all because you’ve already slept. I would love to where it let you take naps and also sleep at the same time. But also, I’ve only encountered this once but there was one time I slept from 11pm-10am and when I went to go review my data, it said there was nothing to be reviewed and I lost all that data and Pokemon I could’ve possibly encountered. But it has only happened once. If it occurs more than 3 times, I’m giving my rating a four star.

But if you’re reading this please fix the sleep only once a day feature. It can make more people play during the day when taking naps and instead of just playing it at night.
Jskahausuzjasi,
Poor Decisions and Odd Features
First off, the game will just decide to disable your microphone access with no way to re-enable it in settings. Believe me, I tried, and after being up until 1:00 AM just trying to figure the stupid thing out, I ended up deleting the stupid app and redownloading it, only for it to delete all my data because some numbskull decided not to put a microphone enabling setting in the settings app. The worst part is that the game worked fine for four straight days before this randomly happened with no warning.

Another bigger issue I have, aside from the general gameplay being fairly boring, is that this game made to be your sleep companion has absolutely zero issue with flashbanging you with a pure white loading screen whenever it’s necessary. Why? Heck if I know. In fact, bright lights like that are scientifically proven to WORSEN your sleep by making it more difficult to fall asleep after seeing those lights. You would think this wouldn’t be an issue with the app, given that it’s a sleep based app. However, no. This happens multiple times per sign-in, and you will have this display before bed every night you choose to use it.

On top of that, if you sleep on a small bed, good luck finding a place to put your phone.
A. Otting,
Deeply flawed and predatory
I really liked this game the first two nights I used it. It made me excited to get to bed, but I’m about ready to uninstall it. Here’s why:
1. To track your sleep you either need to buy the Pokémon Go++ which is $60, or you need to keep your phone in bed with you and leave the screen ON. When I grab it in the morning, my phone is hotter than it really should be, and the tracking isn’t even very accurate.
2. After a night’s sleep you get to see what Pokémon came and slept nearby and have a chance to befriend them with biscuits that are worth varying amounts of friendship points. If they become full friendship, then they join your team. The problem is that Pokémon can become full at any point, even after one biscuit, so you can give your best biscuit to a Pokémon and they become full and you do not get to take them or your biscuit back. You can buy higher quality biscuits with more friendship points, but the pricing is REALLY inflated and predatory. So I have had 3 mornings where I don’t get to take any Pokémon home. This is such a frustrating mechanic.
3. You cannot listen to music, podcasts, or any other media while using this app, and that includes while the sleep tracker is going. I’m someone that likes to fall asleep to podcasts or even white noise playing on my phone, but that’s not possible if you want to track your sleep. This is ridiculous, and unforgivable paired with the other points I’ve brought up above.
Tallin_Imperiallice,
Great app! But can’t listen to music :(
I absolutely LOVE this app so far. I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks straight now, and my only issue so far is that I can’t listen to my sleep playlist while tracking sleep for research. I have a very specific type of music to help me lower my heart rate which is very important as a person with insomnia. I don’t much care for the “relaxing sounds” provided with the app, but since the app has to be left open to track for research, I thought I might be able to just use my music subscription in the background. Sadly, every time I start the music and return to the game for sleep research, my music is unable to play in the background. Maybe if you can’t allow background apps to play music, you could offer different options for the music that plays while tracking sleep. I, personally, can’t stand music that I can tell is on loop. It reminds me of being left on hold on a phone call which makes me angry and anxious, which makes me unable to sleep. If the background music option or alternate sound options was made available, this app would immediately get 5 stars from me!
Rentozu,
Cute but awful controls
I love the app, it’s incredibly cute and offers a free version of what many other sleep apps charge money more (most notable the alarm that tries to wake you up during the light parts of your sleep cycle so you don’t interrupt a deep sleep and wake up tired)
HOWEVER:
The controls are simply awful. If you thought you could just swipe across the screen to look around and view your camp, check on your pokemon and cook for snorlax, get ready to frantically swipe your screen, because for SOME reason, the scroll speed is less than half of your typical 1:1 swipe and scroll ratio. I don’t know if they did this to make the scrolling more “smooth” (if anything it only made it choppier because i have so much trouble scrolling around the camp) or if they did it to make it more “lazy” and “sleepy” but i would like to simply be able to log on, set my timer so i can go to bed reasonably fast, and be able to wake up and tend to the pokemon quickly so I can start my day and get to work. But for some reason i have to swipe around 3x more than i would on any other app just to look around and scroll up and down.
And collecting berries from pokemon? Good luck, because sometimes the game lets you swipe the pile of berries to gather them, but MOST of the time it just scrolls the camera instead! So you have to TAP. EACH. INDIVIDUAL. BERRY. TO PICK THEM UP.
Raquiraqoon,
I wanted to like this game.
1) I am using the pokemon go plus + I ordered for $60 to track my sleep. It appears to know that i slept form 9pm to 6:30am, but for whatever reason it keeps calculating it to 4 hours of sleep. I dont know if it was the interns job to do calculations for this or something but for whatever reason it only captures the time slept from 9am -12am, I am guessing that someone did the math wrong. The app still says i slept from 9pm to 6am, but it doesn't know how to calculate that correctly.

2) Not being able to connect your smart watch is a missed opportunity and will be the reason this fails. Im sorry but the dumb button is not good enough to track your sleep and the app fails to calculate sleep correctly anyways. The whole gimmick here is that it can track your sleep and give you data, but if that data is useless there really is no point to the game. Its cute, but the cuteness wears off and the app is just not practical. With the data being poor and the inability to add your watch to track the game, it is basically shovelware meant for you to spend your hard earned money on micro transactions to get cookies to catch different pokemon.

In conclusion, dont buy the Pokémon go plus +, and be prepared to be disappointed by the poor performance of this game. I know it hasn't been out for long but it seems like a lot of work is needed to get this game to a point where its worth playing.
Wiiownzzz,
More of a fun game than a sleep tracker
At first, I thought it was a silly game. I thought it was a little weird that it can track your sleep with just your phones microphone. It tracks your “sleep” and it gives you something fun when you wake up to look at in the morning. I don’t think the sleep tracking is accurate, but it doesn’t need to be. It gets what it needs, which is when you actually fall asleep and it kind of listens to you to see if you’re snoring or moving around but these kind of differences doesn’t really change the components of the game. This is definitely more of a game than a sleep tracker and the game is actually pretty fun to get into. There are a lot of menus and options in the game so in the beginning it was a little confusing to understand how to navigate & use the game. After about a week and a half of using the game I actually really enjoy it. Going to sleep is a little more exciting and getting the full eight hours for the game and waking up to some new content is pretty nice. I wonder how long this will be addicting for but right now I absolutely love it and I’ve been using it every single night.
GlitchyZorak,
Pretty basic failings
It falls short in some of the basic tenants of game design in its tutorial sections. Namely: it forces you to give a rare and highly valued item to Pokémon you probably don’t care about. Emphasizing the importance of a specific item and then forcing users to choose between three Pokémon they don’t like is just a recipe for a bad experience. And frankly, one that is plainly obvious to anyone with a little bit of foresight. We are guaranteed one of the starters on our first night, let us switch to the starter so we can max our friendship with a pokemon we give a crap about. That’s supposed to be the whole point right?
The reports take way too long to review, usually because of screens that are slow to fade in, and frankly just way too many screens to go through. So far my experience with the game has only been frustrating (too slow and forcing me to give crummy Pokémon the master biscuit) I just can’t see why I’d waste my time with this game.
The tracking is bad, it says you can record two sessions a day but it really only means me because if your session goes across two days it counts for both of those days. So your sleep counts as both a night session for the day you started sleeping and a morning session for the day you woke up. Thought I’d be able to record mid day naps as well, given the wording explicitly says TWO SESSIONS a day
ctluv,
perfect!
As an autistic person who has a lot of trouble getting motivation to go to sleep on time AS WELL AS get a good amount of sleep in general this game has already helped me so much only a few nights in, i love it so much and i’ve already gone from going to bed from 5-7am and waking up at 2-5pm to going to sleep from 12-3am and waking up at 10am-1pm. May not sound like much but i’m not even a week in and it’s helped me progress that much. I figured that it would drain battery percentage as well, as I normally go to sleep with my phone on a lower percentage and charge it up to 100% overnight. However, I leave the app open all night and wake up with my phone at 100% as usual! I love all the features and thinks you can do in this game but I especially love the bedtime stamp card feature! And the fact that it works weekly. I can wean myself into an earlier sleeping time hour by hour till i’m perfectly in schedule to get a good night’s rest! Thank you so much pokémon team! :)

P.S. I don’t use the premium version, and it still works amazingly. I think that alone is worth admiration.
