Description

Your message, your creativity, your card. Our team handles the rest. Cards are mailed within 1 business day.

"So incredibly beautiful. I love sending these cards just to see what the artists come up with!" — Gloria B.

Great for birthdays, love notes, thank you cards, just because, Valentines, Mother's Day, and more!

HOW IT WORKS:
1. Pick a card and add your message. Optionally add confetti, photos, and gift certificates. Hit send.
2. A handwriting artist prepares and mails the card for you.
3. You surprise a friend with mail. It will make their day!

The Oprah Magazine: “I’m obsessed with Punkpost! In this age of endless IMs, texts, and emails, who doesn't love a handwritten note?"

In more detail: Your message will be assigned to an artist who will handwrite it on your card, prepare the envelope, add a stamp, and add your extras: photos, confetti, or gift certificates (if you included any). Once done, they will put it in a USPS mailbox for you. You’ll get photos of the artwork so you know exactly what your recipient is getting.

You can choose between note cards for $6, standard greeting cards for $7.75, or premium foiled larger cards for $10.50.

Every card includes:
- a custom piece of art for your recipient
- your choice from hundreds of exclusive cards
- your choice of writing style for your message
- a nice quality thick paper greeting card
- with postage included

Want more? You can also add:
- confetti
- photos from your phone to be printed
- emojis and our artists will draw them
- gift certificates
- request notes for your artists
- international postage for anywhere in the world

a_dX03,
Such an underrated app!
I have written reviews for maybe 5 apps and this is one that I came to do on my own - the app never requested or pestered me to come write a review; the experience has been that great for me. I have sent at least 10 cards so far and I have never been disappointed. This is a really creative way to connect with people and I think every part is truly incredible. From favoriting the artists you like most, to choosing the kind of handwriting that will appear on the card, even picking confetti or pictures to add, and many more options to really make the card unique. The cards have always been sent out within a day of ordering, and my recipient received quickly thereafter with no issues. I’m pretty sure the first card is still completely free, so you have nothing to lose! Send a card to yourself, send one to someone else just because. Once you see the options available, there’s no way you won’t be able to find something that makes you think of someone special.
xo_brian2,
Mixed Feelings.
So I’ve been ordering cards on here for a while now and although I’ve received beautiful cards from artists who actually try, I’ve also received cards with little to no effort; with just writing. No drawings, no designs, nothing. (Crazy, because I made requests through the app.) This has now happened to me twice. If you’d ask me a week ago what I would rate this app, I would give it a 5, no problem (I usually buy add ons as well! The envelope, and pictures.) But my recent experience involving a “holiday card” and a particular “artist” really made me upset. 15 dollars for just words on a card? No designs on the added feature I purchased? (Envelope) Seriously?I’d rather give that money to an artist that went all out for me and listened.

My holiday card will now have to be given late because there is no way I’m going to hand what I received to the person. It’s the freaking holidays, and it’s for a very close friend! So disappointed.

TLDR: The quality of the cards will not be consistent, it seems like some artists will consider your requests and others will not. Don’t let that discourage you from getting the app though, it’s made me smile and laugh along with my loved ones many times. And you know it’s a good card when they call you smiling instead of texting emojis.
scotty321,
Great but bugs
This app has lots of bugs in it... at least on the iPad version of this app. Bug #1 is that is doesn’t save your work as you are creating the card. We spent an hour typing up the perfect words for our card, choosing the recipients, choosing our extra mailing options, and typing notes for the designer... but then we had to leave the app to go into a few other apps. When we came back into Punkpost, all of our work was completely gone. As if we had never done anything at all. Terrible. Bug #2 is that no matter how many times we chose “Elegant” as our writing style, the app always reverted our card back to “Formal”, even after we submitted the card. Bug #3 is that no matter what we do, the app will not let us pull in the addresses of our contacts from our iPad’s contacts app. Punkpost shows us the names of our contacts from the iOS contacts app, but then it always gives us an error when we try to bring any of those addresses into Punkpost. Bug #4 is that once a card is sitting in your outbox and you simply want to review it, the app always tells you that you are going to discard the card altogether if you try to close out of the card. We just wanted to view the card, but now we can’t close out of it without discarding it altogether!
CaliRya,
Awesome
Such a cool concept! Half the fun of this is getting creative when selecting a card and choosing from all the cool options and styles. What a great way to send cards in the mail without ever leaving home.

So far I’ve sent one card, with another in the queue. I’m looking forward to getting a photo of the new one once it’s crafted. The first card was definitely fun and the decorated envelope was a nice touch. It’s sure to grab the attention of the lucky recipient.

One annoying thing is the spam notifications. Like out of the blue I got an alert saying “send a card right from your phone.” I don’t see an option in the app to opt out of marketing/promotional messages. So unfortunately I had to turn notifications completely off, and I’ll probably miss out on the truly helpful notifications, like birthday reminders and shipment notifications.
mynameislisaz,
Disappointing in some aspects
Although I like the concept a lot, I’ve had a lot of problems lately dealing with Punkpost. The app is very buggy; my card that I scheduled was deleted and I had to contact support to give me credit & manually put in an entirely new order. Then when my card was actually written, it was in a completely different style than I had requested and I was very dissatisfied. I had to contact support again to cancel my card & for the second time manually put in a new order. The second time, a new artist was assigned and I was as specific as possible in my requests. Again, the card wasn’t in the style I requested and the emojis I put in the message weren’t even included. At this point it was too late to request ANOTHER card and I was tired of dealing with it so I just accepted it even though I was still disappointed. You’re spending a lot of money to have someone write a card for you so I feel like at the very least it should be in the style that’s requested? I think i’ll be saving my money.
Ailisa,
I can’t stop using this service
I can’t stop sending cards to people. They will actually pick up the phone and call me when they get them. It’s the things I always want to do and don’t have time to do. My grandma, my mom, my students. It is SO meaningful to get a hand drawn card.
The app is a little buggy - sometimes it won’t let me add an address, save a card, or load pics, but they seem to be working on things and it does get fixed if you are patient. Also, if you email them, they will help you.
All of the artwork is genuine, thoughtful, and heartfelt. It’s a little hard when I find my favorite artist and I want to clone them. And if you leave feedback for the artist (one took a pic of the wrong address, one drew music notes wrong), they fix it quickly and aim to make it right.
I may have to switch to drip coffee so I can afford more of these beautiful cards.
ErinStJ,
THIS is what you’re looking for. Yes! Yes! Yes!
I’m absolutely in love with the result. My boyfriend and I are now long distance, so I like to send little notes through the mail for the sake of old-fashioned romance. So I find it really hard to beat the price given through this app if I were to try to send a handwritten note of my own on comparable (really cute) card-stock, much less print picture or buy and keep confetti and stamps on hand. But then to have such awesome writing done!! I love it. The artist’s handwriting is much better and more eye catching than I could ever do on my own. I also love receiving photos of the completed card, envelope, and contents ahead of it being sent. I’ve used another app in the past that skipped this detail and it makes all the difference know the quality of the item your sending from your name. Thank you so much. Sharing with all my friends!!!
brrenn,
AMAZING. Company of the year!!
I don’t think there are enough words for me to express how much I love Punkpost. I discovered them through an Instagram ad and I am so happy I did. The first card I ordered was a Grateful Dead themed card and trust me when I say they nailed it.( I deff won the best card competition between my siblings that night) everyone was blown away by the card! I then ordered a Mother’s Day card to be send to another country and I was shocked when I found out it was a total of $7 to send a card to Brazil!!!! (AMAZIN!) I proceeded to share my cards on my Instagram story and let my friends in on my newest find, as a thank you to punkpost for dealing with my crazy request and being an all around amazing company. You guys are awesome and I hope the world soon catches up to these amazing cards 😍
Lahlahlaliz,
Worthless when it counts
I was a huge fan of sending occasional cards through punk post, and got many compliments on them, even though the artists sometimes messed up on the grammar or some minuscule thing - until my last order. I placed the order on the 15th. It processed through my debit card immediately, but nothing on the app updated that it would be assigned or anything.
So I contact customer support. She says she pushed it through, it would be shipped out no later than Sunday. I go back and look yesterday, it’s still not been scripted. Again today, nothing. It’s going to be late for Christmas even though I did all I could to get it there on time. I will not be referring anymore friends, coworkers, clients, or anyone because I feel like they don’t value their clients. I’ll be going the legal route of contacting my bank and better business bureau; but at least we know we can’t trust them when it counts. Which means never.

TLDR: I ordered a card with plenty of time to get there on time and it still hasn’t shipped - and no one will reply anymore.
83AD3,
Never arrived, save your money
The artwork is cool, however, if it never arrives then what’s the point. I had a card created and sent as part of the free card trial but with some add ons. I wanted to see how fast items arrived before sending a bunch of planned cards to friends and family. It’s been almost a week and the card has not arrived. A few cards I sent afterwards myself via mail arrived at their locations across the country but the card from Punkpost has yet to arrive at the intended recipient. I was excited at first but not anymore. It’s important to be able to accurately gauge delivery times so cards aren’t sent too early or too late. The initial expected date was 4 days but then it kept getting longer as I checked the app over the following week. Its been over two weeks and still no card. In reality, there is no verification from the app that the card was actually sent at all. I’ll just spend less money on store cards and stamps with assurance people will get it. Shame since the premise is pretty cool. Just terrible execution.
