Random Slideshow Hack 1.8 + Redeem Codes

Nice; could be better. It doesn't remember what album you had selected between launches, so you have to re-choose it every time. It'd be nice if it had the same album selected as last time.

Also, it's seeing "Moments" and the like as Albums to choose, so you end up with a LOT of albums to scroll through to find the one you want. They're not all alphabetized, either, so it's a bit of an album hunt. If it could group them, and ensure they're in order, and maybe provide a letter index on the right of the screen to jump to the letter of the alphabet you're looking for, that'd help a lot.

When iOS 8 was released, Apple, for some reason, decided to remove the ability to shuffle photos during slideshow, and the feature has not returned since. This app gives you the shuffled slideshows back, and it does it beautifully! I love the extra customization we can get with the slideshows, such image backgrounds, a list of duration per slide (which are far better than the scrubber the stock photos app provides), the option to have the photos fill the screen. This app is wonderful!

The only thing I can suggest for this app, is the option to choose more than one album for the slideshow. And being able to select individual photos like you're able to in the Photos app. A workround would be to create a new album and do it that way.

Other than that, excellent app!

A great app that does exactly what the name says. You can once again shuffle your photos in a slideshow randomly. I don't know why Apple thought it was a good idea to be able to play a slideshow without being able to play your photos in a random order in Photos. But they did. This app corrects that crucial omission.

Also the developer of Random Slideshow is very responsive. I had a small issue with the app not being able to select the photo albums that I synced with my Mac, only albums I created on my iPhone. But after asking about it, it was fixed within a week in the next update. I could not be more satisfied with Random Slideshow! Thank you!

I wanted a random slide show app to select reference photos for doodling artwork. # Zentangle This does exactly that. A desired feature missing is to be able to go back to the previous randomly selected slide in the event that I didn't stop the slideshow in time. Nice job though with easy photo selection and running the show. 👍

All I wanted was a way to show in random order a large set of pictures (over 10,000). Nothing in OS X, Apple TV nor iOS could do this simple task. This does just that and worked great.

Using this app all I had to do was pick the pictures I wanted. Copy them to an album and sync it with my iPad. I then used an hdmi adapter and this app to show them on a tv screen for family during the holidays

Thanks, I don’t know why Apple removed the Randomizer from the iPad/iPhone app, but thank you for making this.

I often enjoy having my favorite photos play on my iPad while I do other things, but with a large photo library, it is less than ideal to have the same pictures come up in the same order all the time.

Like other reviewers, I can't fathom why Apple took the slideshow shuffle ability away from Photos. This app did the trick for me until I added my latest photos to my master album, bringing it over 20,000 photos. It now consistently locks up after a few minutes of running and freezes on one photo. I realize that the album is very large, but its only going to get bigger! I am now without a working app for my photo slideshow once more.

Kevin Hartsock, you’re my hero! I have 2,500 family photos in a Photos album. It has to run in random order. Apple killed that feature with iOS 8 but you’ve brought it back. Once again I have an iPad in my kitchen running family photos nonstop in the the order that I like. Thank you!

I use old iPads as photo frames for myself and family and since Apple got rid of the shuffle feature I’ve had to try to “shuffle” my photos myself in the album. Very time consuming. Only downside to this app is I load short video clips and this doesn’t allow them to play in the slideshow like they do in the photos app. Hopefully you can fix this.

This is a great app for simple slideshows. I use it on my desk at work and just wanted something that shuffled the photos into different order thru the day. You do have to turn off the auto-lock timeout function, but since its sitting on a charger stand all day that isn’t a problem. Thanks!!
