RohuGammon is backgammon optimized for the small screen. The board is scaled to maximize playing area. Checkers are over-sized for easy access, and the number of checkers on a point is displayed.
Play against a friend, or against the computer. The computer has five separate AIs with different strategies. Some are aggressive attackers; others play defensively. You never know which strategy the computer is going to employ, so it's nearly impossible to guess how the computer will play.
To speed the game, you can enable auto-roll and disable undo, creating a fast-paced game. Play multi-game matches where scoring a gammon or backgammon can earn you more points. When the outcome of the game seems inevitable, hit "auto pilot" and let the computer finish the game for you.

Backgammon fun
I have downloaded this to all my devices. So if I can't play on one, I can play on another. This is my favorite game to, I played with my mother for years. I love it!

Doubles beat me every time,
First match looks good
Just played my first match on this app at the hard level and it was good. I thought it was challenging enough and didn't feel like the dice rolls showed any favoritism. I don't really care for the style of board or the style of moving but those are cosmetic As long as the competition is good and I don't feel cheated against then it is a good product to me.

Great backgammon game
Update: After playing 500 games on the hard level, my win rate is 56%. This is compared to some other backgammon games where I typically win over 75% of my games. This game is a very good player.
I've tried a bunch of iOS backgammon games, and I can usually beat the computer almost every time. With this app, I'm only winning a little over 50% of the games. Much more challenging.
And you can't "predict" the computer. It changes strategies with each game.
The user interface is great on the iPhone. The men are large and easy to drag and drop. And the number of men at each position is displayed so you don't have to count. And the fast-forward button allows you to speed up the end of the game.

Backgammon for beginners to experts
I am not a backgammon wiz but this game makes it very easy to quickly get back up to speed when I have not played for a while. The different levels are ideal for starting easy and moving up and the highlight hints are extremely helpful. Once you get to the higher levels, the game is extremely challenging. I highly recommend this version.

I play it regularly-solid app
No complaints. It's never crashed, the ads are not intrusive, and it's a good design. I only wished there was an expert level; I'd like more challenge when playing the computer.

Great Game
I haven't played backgammon in years, but this app made it easy to pick it up again. The single player mode is very challenging. And I like that it supports two players, just like a real backgammon board.
