1) What is a huddle? A huddle is a collateral of posts under a certain topic on SHAYK.
2) What will change with the new update? Absolutely nothing! To clarify, STATIONS = HUDDLES! They are the same thing! The only difference is that "stations" will be renamed as huddles! The huddle is an evolution of a station that has more control.
3) So why the update? The new home screen is much more user-friendly and easier to navigate.
4) What should I do to be prepared for this update? The ONLY thing you should do is keep creating more awesome huddles and talk about your passions and things that excite you (and hopefully others lol)

Innovative Sociap Audio App
I had never considered what could be missing for fun interaction, it's Shayk. Social anxiety is a real issue especially after the world experienced Covid-19 on such a debilitatingly large scale. TikTok invades the privacy of everyone, Facebook sells our personal info like the stock market, and Instagram feels phony. So what do we do? We use our beautiful voices to tell stories & jokes, sing songs, and give life lessons with Shayk! I had spent 18 weeks staring at the news as the Covid news got worse. Businesses were closing indefinitely and I missed conversations. The prompts in the app help delve into earnest discussions. It's a ton of fun to engage in the community with an element of almost Mad Libs-esque give and take. I commiserated with other people on their worst date experiences, loved their best dad jokes, told my own worst (unexperienced as of yet)fear of haunted houses, and felt safe in the Shayk community. I don't know how they do it so well but the app never crashes! The experience is exactly what I needed as an outlet to not feel left out of healthy & enjoyable conversations. I still believe in our post-Covid world that I get the opportunity to engage without pressure here!

Great App: goes beyond normal expectations of social media apps
After testing for the Shayk for the past couple months, I have to say that the app has really shown me a new outlet to communicate with other people across the world. Standard apps such as Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook are reliant on people using visual stories, posts, and content that overall attract their consumers. The same can’t be said of the Shayk app whose platform is strictly only audio and brings forth an interesting method to communicating with people online. In most ways this platform is actually a blessing in disguise as it helps people be more genuinely aware of not only their followers ideas and beliefs but vice versa when they share their own content. Being restricted to using only audio messages in the app is in a way, a better alternative to understanding more of a persons personality and their decisions than by looking through images of their personal appearances or their day to day lives. Making and listening to these messages in the app helps people connect with each other heart to heart, and that is why I am giving it five stars!

Make your voice heard!
I cannot stress enough how fun it is to use SHAYK. I’ve never really been able to get into other social media platforms like TikTok or Instagram but this is downright addicting! Not only is SHAYK incredibly easy to navigate and use, it also includes a ton of “challenges” you can use as starting points if you need ideas for posts. There are categories pretty much everything and there’s almost always at least one interesting prompt to respond to in whatever way you like. SHAYK is an especially great platform if anonymity or social anxiety is a concern; you will never have to show your face – or anything at all for that matter – if you don’t want to, as nearly everything is done with your voice. Even profile/station descriptions and comments are voice recordings rather than readable text. Using SHAYK is like having short conversations about anything and everything without any of the pressures of directly interacting with another person. For introverts like me, this is about as good as it gets!

New Type of App
When I first started using Shayk I was not sure what to think about it. I was interested in the idea of audio content so I decided to hop on board with the project. The creators of the app were very perceptive if there were any issues and would respond back within a timely manner. As for the app itself, it’s easy to use and navigate. There is also all sorts of different content on the platform. I also like the idea of the challenges option when you are recording. This gives people inspiration of what they could talk about and give their opinion on. I did enjoy working on the app and feel that it will only get better from here.

My Beta Testing Experience
I honestly love SHAYK! This app is completely different from the other social media apps. As a teacher I honestly believe it helps people with their voice, & speaking, to say the least. As a business owner I believe this also helps you get use to speaking daily, networking, tapping into the true power of your voice, and how powerful our tongue is. I’m only giving this app a 4 because there is always room for improvement no matter how great things are. I would love to see more sounds and backgrounds; and also it was very hard for me to find my private messages at first. Overall i will be using this app consistently! I love it. Thank you so much for giving me a chance to use this app before the rest of the world knows about it ! Interesting Concept!
I tested for this app and I think it has a chance at catching on. Whether you’re participating in the challenge questions or recording something off the cuff, it forces you to think quickly about what you say and how you say it; it also encourages thoughtfulness in general. It’s a great way to open up without the pressure of someone being in the room with you or being in front of a crowd. And I can see how it can be addicting. Those 15 secs roll by quickly and then—BOOM you’re already listening to another. The attention span of our culture has shortened and I think this caters to that.

The jury’s still out, but I think it’s getting there…
When I first started using the app, I did find it to be a little overwhelming sorting through all of the soundbites, as well as the innumerable sound-bite challenges available on the app. I guess for some people, having a lot of choices is a good thing; but for me, it was just a bit too much. I am willing to stick with it, though: I think, if the creators listen to feedback from the users (which I think they already do) some tweaks to the user interface and may be different features may improve the user experience for everyone. I think that social media apps that use voice have a lot of potential, and I hope Shayk sticks around to evolve and “shayk” things up.

I love how quick, easy and fun the app is to use which is perfect because I am almost always on the road. Whenever I have random thoughts or funny jokes to tell, I just pull out my phone and share them on Shayk. I treat my collection of audio clips as my little audio diary and I often go back to listen and reminisce the moments. There’s also a really great and talented community of voice actors, podcasters, comedians, singers, etc. on the app who are super interesting to interact with! Meet new people, share your thoughts/stories, and have fun! The app is always updating and there’s always something new to listen to.

Fun app to use
I’ve been using the Shayk app for several weeks now and love how fun and easy it is to use. I am a voice over artist and this app is such a cool platform to post samples of myself and connect with other people. I am one of those people that want to showcase more of my voice then visually of myself and this is the perfect app for that! Navigating the app, creating posts and stations is super easy and love how you can create different stations for a more personal touch. Watch out All other social media platforms because Shayk is here to stay! I will definitely tell my friends to join!

Great and thoughtful UX UI Design
I’ve tried other audio apps like Clubhouse that often feel impersonal. I’ve tried social media apps where it’s hard to search for basic things (audio history to Twitter spaces). Upon installing, the user had a physical design experience to engaging with the app, literally shaking your phone. It was a joy to see a ton of color, hear quick audio snippits from real people. Recording was really easy to use. I hope more features in the future include as advancing search history by hashtag category or group lists of folks from the leader board and more clearly defined stations. All in all, a great app and must try download.
