Menu Navigation
We have added a handy menu which allows you to navigate the whole app! Check the first button on left panel in the main view.

Quick search
Now you can quickly find any celestial object just by writing down a few letters of its name - check it out by clicking on the search icon on the left. Works both in the solar system and the night sky view.

Music
Thanks to the great composers Travis Fitzsimmons and Imphenzia, we can now enjoy a lot of great space themed songs. And if the first track sounds familiar - it's because it was the very first song that Travis composed especially for Solar System Scope many years ago!

Improved mobile tracking
Solar now supports both gyroscope and accelerometer - the result is very fluent mobile orientation tracking!

Auto-saving last geo-position
Observation location on Earth is automatically saved so you wont need to choose it next time you run the app.

Chinese translation
Simplified Chinese translation is now available in the languages options.

Jodohr,
Great app, but...
This is really a fantastic app, it was almost what I was looking for to explore our own solar system. I think the mechanics and representations are great, the only reason I can’t give five stars is that what I was hoping to see and learn more about was the other moons of the planets. I appreciate the fact that even the dwarf planets are represented already, but Jupiter and Saturn are only represented with a handful of moons here, where, in reality, each has 53 confirmed moons and many more provisional moons. I was really hoping to see their orbit and and the encyclopedia detail provided for the other entities that already exist in the app (even if what is known about them is limited - if there isn’t enough information to represent them in the model, they should at least be listed as such in the planet’s moons with whatever minimal detail is available... representing the lack of information is just as important to curious minds).

So, ultimately, I’m wishing for more detail... but, I don’t want to detract from how great this app is for what is already in there.
Galaxy Genius,
Solar System Scope
This is the best app I have ever experienced in my entire life! My intelligence about space increased by at least 45%. I love this app so much, that I am going to keep it forever. Solar System Scope has taught me so many things about space in just one day! I love how realistic it is. Literally the stars, planets, and other things look so real! You guys did a good job, and I appreciate it. One thing I wish the app could do is: Visit Messieurs. I wish it could be able to go to the Messieurs so you can see them up close, and clearly. It would be so beautiful and cool to be able to see the Messieurs up close (Visit). If you could try updating it so you could be able to see other things like Messieurs, Comets, and Satellites, that would be great. Another last thing I wish the app could do is: Exploring other Galaxies! That would be so great, I would never delete the app in my life! If this app could visit other Galaxies, it would be so Awesome, everyone would have it. But other than those two things, the app is incredibly amazing!!! Great job you guys; you have changed my view about space, and the Galaxy.

Thank You
Awaiting Lucky Day,
Strange limitations
Was quite pleased to find this app. An accurate bird’s eye view of the solar system for any date was just what I had hoped to find. That said, I see two strange limitations. The first is orientation of the program. I use an iPad in horizontal or landscape position with the bottom of the device to the left and the top to the right. For whatever reason this app, unlike every other app fails to orient itself to match. It always shows the program upside down, requiring me to disconnect the iPad, disconnect the power and rotate it 180 degrees. Most odd. Next, there is no ability to show the positions of the planets for a specific date. There are only the forward and reverse buttons of varying speeds. Even at the slowest speeds it is difficult if not impossible to zero in on a specific date. Other than those two items I’m glad I found this great app. Thanks!
Ramc88,
More than I was looking for
I was only looking for a map of the solar system and how it would look a few months in the future. Oh wow was I underestimating this app. It has tons of stars, moons, planets, detailed maps and guiding points, and more! Some things are a bit too much at times, but never fear! The video settings lets you toggle what things you want to see! It shows you the perspective from earth’s orbit, all the way to the whole Milky Way galaxy fitting on my screen! This is an amazing way to plan for things like viewing planet conjunctions, as well as just exploring the visible universe up close! My only suggestion is making it so that you can lock on to nebulas like you can other objects, as well as maybe making a free look mode where you can fly through the universe without having anything locked on to. Thanks so much for a great app!!
potatotomato🥔🍅,
Exactly what i was looking for - Response
The designer of the game asked me to write a response about zooming in and since my email is quite working here I am. Anyways, you should be able to zoom in on other planets but when you try to zoom in it’s just zooms in to the sun. If we could do that we could look a constellations better, view planets better and so much more. Even when you look at the galaxy the only place you can really zoom in is towards the sun. If we could zoom into the earth and see where it’s day and where it’s night without having to click view, it would save so much effort and experience. So uh thanks for reading, hope you take my ideas into thought.
Frankie Ninja,
Beautiful but needs much improvement
I guess this review is kind of a “twofer”.

Initially, I purchased this app for use on my 27” 5k Retina display iMac. I also found it in the App Store for iOS so I downloaded it for my iPad Pro. I’ll detail the various issues I’ve encountered below.

1) I mentioned my iMac because it is more than capable of running apps like this. Yet, my iMac has two problems with it:

A) The app freezes frequently. Even when removing objects such as the asteroids to reduce the load on the computer. B) Quitting the app brings about the rainbow wheel of death. At this point, the only solution becomes to “force quit” the application.

Today, after I downloaded the app the next issue quickly became evident. The app does function very well and smooth. (What parts of it are included in the download.) This is where I take issue.

Having to pay for an app that I have already paid for. I could not find any place where I could “login” to prove I had already bought the app and should be able to enjoy all of its functions accordingly. I can’t.

If I want to enjoy the full functionality of the app on my iOS device, I have to re-pay for an app I have already bought.

So, given the above reasons, I can only give this app one star. It’s only real saving grace is its beauty but unless and until these issues get resolved, it’s like putting lipstick on a pig.
lookhowdumbyouare,
Since update crashes on startup
So, i purchased the desktop version for Windows, i purchased the iPad Pro and iPhone iOS version, i purchased the 3d models of the solar system upgrade pack, and....nothing?
Your software doesn't work.
On iOS, it won't even open. As i said, it crashes on startup.
(and i even went to the trouble of completely erasing my brand new iPad Pro 12.9 and reinstalling all its programs and resetting all its settings as a new device because i want to use your software.)
I firts contacted your company about this months ago.
I'm sure you folks are good people making a fun product, and i would imagine you take your work seriously, but if you take money from someone then don't supply the product that was paid for, that's a scam.
It has been MONTHS ihave patiently waited for a resolution to this issue.
I don't have anything i paid for from your company, (excepting the desktop Windows version, which works just fine.)
And the one reply i got from you is just to say "thanx for the email"?
It's been so long now that the software i bought from your company crashes on startup that i'm now on a newer version of the operating system, that being 11.4.
I would expecteithera refund of my purchase price or some kind of resolution to the issues that prevent me from using the product i purchased from you.
I await your detailed reply with answers to my inquiry.
Parshall Mice,
Very Educational
I've been studying astronomy for a few years now and just found this tool. it is amazingly useful and it the $3 in app purchase upgrade was totally worth it. I do wish that you could get information on stars. Furthermore, the app occasionally crashes; so that is something that should be fixed. The new app icon looks so much better; Thanks for taking my suggestion. [old- I also would like to see a redesign for the app icon.]
Anyway, i would usually give this app 4 stars but since i haven't seen an app that looks, feels, and functions as well as this one and because it looks like you need a few more 5 star reviews I would love to help out by providing one.
vt n fn,
Fix
I wood like to see the galaxy and the back hole that we have in our galaxy and like when on planet I want to see like if you go thar to The Night sky model want to see the other planets with the same stuff will I saying I want to see the planet like mar if you go to thar and you do night sky mode you see like the earth map but I want to see the mars map plz fix that and I will like to see other galaxy plz plz do that thank you and have a nice day see you plz get to this and plz till me when are you going to update the game thx you. Were is my developer request at?
Countryball luvr,
Ultra-Epic, just one thing…
So, I wrote this review to suggest something. If you progress the solar system orbits to 10,000 yfn (years from now), can you show the full supernova of Betelgeuse? I mean, astronomers have theorized that Betelgeuse will go boom in about 10,000 years, so show that please in the next update. Another thing I wanna see is stars expanding over the course of billions of years (if anyone doesn’t get tired while progressing the orbits of the solar system, or they could use the Alpha Centauri system to do it, too.) Also, GIMME THE ABILITY 2 ADD STARS.

Happy Developing!
