3. Tap Subscriptions.
4. Tap Songen.
5. Tap Cancel Subscription. If you don’t see Cancel, the subscription is already canceled and won't renew.

- Bass tracks now have correct octave in MIDI exports as it was in the older Songen version

Hello 😩 writing to make sure you have not died!!! 😢 I’ve become restless, yearning for an update, I’m itchy and twitching with withdrawal, I cry! I weep 😮💨 When, when, will we, receive an update? 🫣😩 3 months without an update == 3 months of darkness. Solitude. Trepidation and shadows with no direction and little hope.
1. A way to edit loops and remove notes, we don’t need Songen to be a DAW! Just that little feature before hand so that when we get to the DAW we only have notes we’re going to work with. 2. Like someone else said, saving individual loop variations without the original loop would be amazing, sometimes the variation is WAY better than the original. 3. Flamenco, Middle Eastern, 90s dance, maybe begin playing with decades for the genres, and naming them after that. For example “00s pop.” 4. Would love to see a video series, even from the community, where we share videos about tips and tricks for using Songen that go past the basics.

A great tool for helping make beats in a pinch.
This app can help you generate the bones for great beats, and I like to use it as an assistive tool (rather than just generating a beat and calling it good)! I really like the interface, and the sound set is very good. I appreciate how you can just switch out the sounds easily and quickly, without it changing the melody, and I like how it’s not just pulling loops from a pool.
I do want at least a little more say in what the beat sounds like; Sometimes I like the beat a lot, except for one thing. It’d be cool if there was a piano roll function where you could add, remove, and edit notes. Then I’d be able to make some custom things as well, while still using the amazing sound set that’s included in this app.
As far as assistive creation tools go, I like this one a lot!
I do want at least a little more say in what the beat sounds like; Sometimes I like the beat a lot, except for one thing. Export function is broken
Honestly loved of organized the old design was and how you had better controls of what you wanted to keep and do with it. This new update was a change in look which I saw was for an aesthetic change but at the price of usefulness. You can’t simplify the parts, can’t mix how loud they are anymore, can’t change the syncopation nor make it export without crashing over and over and when you finally get it to export something like your separated drum midi with multitrack stems in wav and midi, it doesn’t export the whole 11 files even when you try to put it on google drive or simply to save onto your device. This new update came at the cost of 90% of what I liked and used this app for. It was useful and organized. Well put together and made sense with actual functioning things not just aesthetic. Can this please be fixed. I’m actually incredibly disappointed and I’ve been a customer with a premium subscription with them for almost a whole year. Almost uninstalled the app because of this new update.

i really enjoy this app
I really enjoy this app but you guys should add more instruments.. as in a saxophone, more flute sounds, and just more in general it would make the beats sound better overall and you should also add more then four audio things so there can be more sounds and so you can make it more personalized.. it would make this app 10 times better but other than that there is nothing to complain about other then if accidentally pull the notification center down on iphone you sometimes lose all the sound and have to close the app and reopen it or if you connect some headphones it can also happen..

I understand that this app works off of algorithms and I think this app is really dope however when I think of algorithms I think of not to beat be in the same from two different people at two different times in the world maybe maybe not I guess algorithms are algorithms some of the beats are generated I Shazam them another words looked them up and found several different beats and artists wrapping on the same EXACT beat… I was really hoping more original algorithm…
I was going to give it four stars until that but now that I’m thinking that and I wish I could upload at least my own samples like at least one for each track for the one I want to use like the four tracks bass drum lead chord etc… and then to pay this subscription every month it just blew my mind to think that I had generated something that I thought would be Original..

Awesome
I am an amateur composer and often struggle with coming up with a unique chord progression and beat. This app is perfect for that and I have based at lest 10 songs off MIDI’s from this. This is app is awesome, but I do wish you could get a little bit more out of the free version. Like maybe you get unlimited songs and like 20 exports, but you only have 5 genres that you get to pick from, that you select when you first open the app. Otherwise, this is definitely a five star app, and works perfectly other than a few times where a dissonant chord progression is created. Overall, Great job and I can’t wait to see how this app grows in the future :)

The app does a great job of generating, remarkably good arrangements, grooves, base lines, and even percussion lines across a variety of genres.
The biggest problem is that for songwriters who already have chord structures built that they want to integrate into the songs generated on this app, there’s no good way to do it. While the app has an option to insert a custom chord progression, it requires that you completely regenerate what you’ve been working on to use that new progression. Also, you’re stuck using whatever limited number of bars you insert, with no option to use multiple sections.
For instance, if I have eight bars of chords to use in my verse section, there’s no way to also tell the app which eight cords to use for the progression in my chorus section. Many of the randomly generated songs do this, but if you want to use your own chord progressions, there is no option to do so.
I tried contacting the developer about this, to know avail. This severely limits this app’s potential as a true tool for songwriters, and instead, makes it more of a novelty toy. If there were a better way to handle chord progressions, this would be incredibly powerful.

Honest suggestions
Amazing app! I love the ability to mix and match genres however I sometimes can’t create the exact genre that I want and end up with something very 1 sided or a melody with a out of key lead. If there was a slider for the percentage (out of 100%total) that could control how much influence each genre had that would be amazing. Another suggestion would be to add sub genres like underground, virtual, rage, ethnic, Detroit, ethereal, pluggnb, jersey club, as they are what make up of most popular music now. Lastly I suggest an option to mass export as I find a lot of variations that I like and would like to mass export midis to dropbox! Thank you guys for the amazing tool!

With all of that glowing feedback, how is this only a 4 star review? Well unless I’ve completely lost my mind, due to one of the most recent updates, I’ve lost the ability to change a song from a minor key to a major key — the app seems to be permanently locked to minor (unless there’s some very obvious setting or parameter I’m missing).

Definitely NOT worth what they’re asking for to gain access.
The title is self-explanatory.I would’ve given it no stars but I didn’t want to be rude it does offer some help but if you actually use the app you see that it’s doesn’t really offer anything. I completely understand the concept of how it works it’s just the fact that it doesn’t offer any originality. there in lies it’s margin for error. In music to get a head you have to be original. It’s not really original when you have an algorithm that is searching for all of the music that people like to listen to now in days. The problem with that is people all tend to listen to the same type of beats so now there’s no breakthrough.
