Saddlebredgirl421,
Extremely useful app as an advanced bodybuilder - but...
I have been searching and searching non -stop for a new digital way to log my lifts. I probably downloaded 10-15 different apps with all having to buy a subscription of a yearly cost of $60 just to have more than 3 workouts saved - ridiculous!

One late night I was RELIEVED to find this one, with a very reasonable cost of $10 for a LIFETIME. Very good price as that’s how much it would cost if I would purchase a physical workout log or simply a notebook. I personally don’t use the given workouts the premium subscription gives you, but they are fantastic as well for beginners or people who need more direction. Needless to say though, I’m very satisfied with my purchase and have been using the app daily.

However, there are just a couple things that would make my experience all the more worth it!!

1: Adding how much weight you do per sets. I’m shocked this isn’t already an option. I’ve been having to keep track of this elsewhere on a note app which has been sort of a pain switching back and forth.

2: Being able to make an account to log in on multiple devices. Again, quite surprised this is not already an option. But down the road once I get a new phone, or if my phone got stolen/broke etc, I’d like to have a way to retrieve my account without worry.

Hope you guys take my suggestions into consideration, but absolutely great job making this app and having it be a reasonable cost!

I find this app aggravating to use in a couple of areas: 1- the listed exercises, although many, does not include several popular routines 2- it does not have a feature where you can add those exercises not listed 3- if you set a workout and cannot finish it, you can’t “pause” the workout, bring it up later and finish those lifts you didn’t get to earlier, instead the app erases all the stored info for that workout and lists “perform again” with everything blank, basically starting over. You have to go back and enter weight and reps of the exercises already done. 4- I’ve sent the developer a couple messages inquiring those things I’ve listed and never received a response, making me wonder if only premium subscribers are answered. 5- on a positive note I really like the graphics/the history time line/and the workout and body stats. 6- cannot find previous stats from workouts already performed, the recorded workout has the routines but not the weights or reps 7- is there a users manual??? Can’t find one
UPDATE- I just received an e-mail from the developer who addressed my concerns and gave me instructions on how the app can do the things I wanted. Its not so aggravating to navigate now, much better!
steezlord,
Great workout tracker for a reasonable price
I think this app is fantastic overall and am very happy with the ease of use. Here are a couple suggestions I have:
1. Make saved workouts editable. I have noticed mistakes in workouts that I have saved in the past (sets, weight) but I’m not aware of a method for correcting those after I’ve saved it
2. Add ability to Change the rest timer on workouts on the fly. I know you can change the default timer but that makes it so you can still only have one rest time amount for your whole workout
3. When adding custom exercises, you should be able to mix and match any of the options on the list (weight, reps, distance, time). Farmers carries or weighted planks are currently hard to log.
4. Definitely would be nice to have automatic cloud data backup. I would pay extra for this
christian ronel,
Best workout tracker
Update: I think it would be a good addition if there is a way to save workout on the fly as a plan coz sometimes we’re trying out workout combinations that would be good for a given amount of time. Also, could you please add the features in stats to keep track of volume per workout session and/or workout per week. Thanks!

This has been a great app so far! By far the best workout tracker I’ve tried from the AppStore, and I’ve tried several from the best selling list. All of them pale in comparison to this app.

I’ve listed the main features of this app if you’re comparing this with other apps. Good luck trying to find all of that features from other workout trackers.

1. Very low learning curve
2. Ease of finding workout plans that suits your needs
3. Very easy to create your own plan
4. Ability to create supersets with rest time
5. Simple animated guidance
6. Statistical tracking down to main each main body parts
7. Easily track body measurements
8. Ability to track exercises without having a plan
9. Does not gather unnecessary personal information
10. Does not require yearly membership fees. You pay once and that is it.
Kellermeyer14,
Missing some key attributes
There’s a lot I like. Namely I don’t have to subscribe. God I hate subscription fees. I get to designate sets as warmup sets. I can easily add exercises that don’t exist in their moderately sized database. I can also choose what exercises to graph and export data.

Now, for the gripes. It’s not super intuitive. I can’t record my height in my measurements (4 years as an app and they still have this oversight? Really?). I can’t add or designate sets warmup sets once I’ve started a workout. I can’t record RPE. I can’t easily swap exercises mid-workout (for busy gyms this is a must). I can’t link exercises as supersets after I’ve added them to my workout (or if I can, see gripe number one). I can’t use images for exercises I’ve created. I can’t designate secondary muscle groups for exercises (a must for determining overall volume). I can’t designate sets as drop sets. I’m sure there will be more as I continue to ween myself off Jefit. I can only hope that the app continues to improve.
Jlb4350,
Love this app
This is a very well designed and easy to use app for creating fitness routines. I have the premium version and it has tons of different workout plans that are available. I haven’t found any bugs or problems and I’ve been using it for over a year now. I do have a feature request. I would like to be able to add my own workout example jpegs to a custom workout (a pic showing the starting position and another showing the flexed position, just like the workout examples included with the app). This is just a request however. This has no effect on the app, it’s still a great app if you workout!
zootown7,
Great app but...
I really like this app. Works well and is easy to use. However, there are a few things that could be better. Creating new routines is a little tedious but okay. The one issue I have is that I can’t seem to edit an existing plan. I can edit an individual workout but changing exercises in the overall plan requires re-entering all the data or copying an existing plan and then editing it. I think you should be able to quickly and easily tweak an existing plan as needed. Also, it’s a little difficult to create a plan that has alternating exercises from week to week. Meaning this Monday is normal bench but next Monday is close-grip bench. The best workaround I’ve figured out is to add both to Monday’s list and the. Leave one blank and remember which one to do or look in history to see what I did last. All said it’s the best app I’ve tried.
ForeverIDy,
Finally a great workout log app that isn’t a pricey subscription
I’ve tried over 30 different workout log apps before I found this one. Finding an app with a good layout/user experience that wasn’t a subscription I thought was impossible to find before daily strength. I previously was using strong but paying $100 for a lifetime sub seemed like robbery to me. This app offers all the features I need from a workout log and the bonus workout plans are amazing. A huge shout out to the developer and this is well worth the one time 10 dollar buy.
Echo Planar,
The best
Excellent fitness tracking app. Track weights and cardio. One time purchase price. No subscription. Ability to export fitness logs to CSV (Excel compatible) files.
Now if only the developer would fix the minor bug in the workout notes field in dark mode. The background in the field is black and so is the text, making it almost impossible to see when entering the text. After it’s entered, it’s easily visible in the history.
Other than that minimal bug, it’s a fantastic app! Highly recommended.
AshurGilgamesh,
Finally a good workout app
Tried half a dozen apps. Missing exercises, inability to customize, slow logging, add-on prices for workout plans. The list of negatives continues. Not so here. Logging your workouts while lifting is easy. Adding another set, or another exercise is quick and simple. Analytics tracking your history on a specific exercise makes it easy to challenge for more gains. The built in exercises, which get updated, is huge. This is a must have for anyone looking to simply buy effectively track their workouts.
