I would first like to start this review by making it clear that I am a believer, not a skeptic. I greatly appreciate the effort the developer put into sharing the truth. However, some sections greatly misinterpret the Bible.
Some positive things to say about this app are that it is well designed and stable; it even works offline. Very few apologetics apps run that well, and Theotab is the only one I know of that works without an internet connection.
But, Theotab makes numerous errors when interpreting Scripture. One of the most problematic sections is the one titled “Scientific Accuracy Of Scripture”. If you read 2 Peter 3:10, you will kind that it is describing how God will destroy the earth and heavens. But if you ask Theotab, it will tell you that the verse is describing nuclear fission! Another example is with the interpretation of Genesis 10:25. When you look up this verse, it appears to describe the meaning behind the names of Noah’s descendants. But Theotab says that Genesis 10:25 is describing continental drift! Really?
While not as problematic as the last one, the section titled “Jesus’s stance on Scripture” also had quite a few errors in it. As an example, Mark 10:6-9 says that God made humans to be male and female. But once again, Theotab says that Jesus is affirming a young earth.
I also would like to address the “Science” section. In there, Theotab says that empirical evidence “largely disproves” evolution. If that were the case, scientists would have turned their backs on evolution a long time ago.
In conclusion, while Theotab is well designed and has much potential, it misinterprets the Bible many times.
