Description

TinnitusPlay – Science-based sounds to help your tinnitus

TinnitusPlay is designed to help people with tinnitus find and create the sounds that are most beneficial to them.

You can select sounds from an extensive library, mix and match them as you please, and save your creations to listen to them later. You can set a timer for your preferred listening time.

TinnitusPlay not only offers sounds to mask your tinnitus, but also sound techniques that have been demonstrated, in clinical studies, to have a longer-lasting beneficial effect for some people. More research is needed to find out for whom these techniques work well and how best to apply them.

We offer the following sound techniques:
· Notched Audio – Your tinnitus frequency is “notched out” of a sound sequence
· Neuromodulation – A tonal repetition centered around your tinnitus frequency
· Amplitude Modulation – Sounds that vary in loudness according to a certain cycle

Sound techniques like these are often marketed to tinnitus patients at a price, but we offer them to you for free.

In order to maximize its effectiveness, TinnitusPlay includes a feature that matches your tinnitus tone and pitch, and also checks your hearing. This way, the various sound modules can be customized to your personal hearing and tinnitus profile.

You can read more about the science behind TinnitusPlay in the Information section of the app.

In short, we offer:
· Easy to use interface
· Extensive library of sounds
· Science-based sound modules
· Masking your tinnitus
· Potential long-term beneficial effects
· Customized to your tinnitus and hearing

JoeyBones621,
This app is a game changer!
Not only was I able to actually match my tinnitus for free and do a hearing test, but it uses the clinical research that showed great effectiveness in diminishing tinnitus. I am only on day one but I love it already. My favorite part is being able to actually replicate my exact tinnitus and allowing my spouse hear exactly what i deal with 24/7!!!! Now they completely understand how torturous it it. They lasted less than 5 minutes with my exact tinnitus sound before having to remove the earphones! It is great to finally be able to have a way to have something tangible that they can experience instead of trying to explain!!! Great app!!! FREE! Highly recommended!
OneMobile,
Notched audio is fantastic
I’m very happy this app was made so thoughtfully! I have high pitched tinnitus manifesting “somewhere” on my left side and the full-range noise options (aka waterfall) that drop out in the frequency where my ringing is make it almost not noticeable. I love this when going to sleep, or during other times when it’s quiet or I have few distractions. The testing feature is amazing as well to figure out where I sense the ringing. And it works simultaneously with other sound apps to add more layers if you desire. ALL FREE! Thank you!
mjtoles,
Beautifully designed app
TinnitusPlay App has a simple user-friendly interface on the surface but supports a depth of settings and options tailored to and by the user. Only thing would recommend is easier to access pause or off setting from any point while in use
GALinReston,
Ugh
There is nothing intuitive about this. There are no instructions. If you go to the hearing/tinnitus check page, you get stuck there because once you start goofing around trying to figure out what the heck you're doing, the back button gets greyed out and won't take you back anywhere. You have to uninstall and reinstall it just to get back to the main menu. When I tried it again, it did the same thing. In the process I ramped up my tinnitus by taking their stupid test (probably incorrectly since there are no instructions). There's nothing good about this. I'm good with computers and I used to test applications. This one could've used a test run by actual users.
Poopoobangbang,
Well thought out and no hidden fees or ads
This app seems to do most everything a Tinnitus sufferer would need. Hearing test and the ability to determine what frequency T you have. Also has some great maskers, crickets being my favorite. There are also different types of sound therapy it can be used for. And no hidden fees or annoying ads!!
poetkitty,
Godsend!
To the donor that helped make this app possible and FREE - thank you with my whole heart! I have severe tinnitus and this app helped me match the multi-layered tones and find the perfect background noise to help calm my nervous and limbic systems so I can navigate the intensity more gracefully. This is a
must have for all of us dealing with the internal fire alarms ♥️
AKA500,
Love it and it’s free!!!
I bought a lot of apps to mask my tinnitus most don’t allow the customer to customize their desired tinnitus sound. This app lets you choose the matching frequencies. In the mixed sounds section if they can allow the customer to add their saved TinnitusMasker would be great!!! other than that it’s a great app.
Bn1000,
Simple and comprehensive
The user interface is very intuitive.

I especially like how they implemented hearing sensitivity measurements. They can be taken very quickly and compared over time (as long as you are using the same headphones and cell phone). They include frequencies above 8 kHz which is often neglected.

The sound mixer can be helpful for both people with tinnitus and hyperacusis. There are a lot of different sounds to choose from. I like that it includes environmental sounds as an option as well such as a café.

They include several tinnitus reduction techniques that I have read in clinical studies.

Highly recommended!

Best tinnitus app
Comprehensive app for masking, with additional science-based sound therapy options. Wonderful tool to match tones. Features are the most intuitively designed. Research content available in the app as well. Excellent app for tinnitus patients - thanks for all the thoughtful features that went into this carefully crafted tool.
r.tk.r,
Exactly what I was looking for and more
This is so easy (even fun?) to use and legitimately helpful (for me, at least) that it’s hard to believe it’s free. So glad I found this before paying for another app.
