TutorTies has developed a swipe-to-match mobile application to match college students and tutors with subject, class, and even professor commonalities. Profiles are built with subject, class, and professor specifications, and include tutor’s profile pictures, transcripts, and resumes. TutorTies' software and an algorithm match students and tutors based on their profile commonalities. Matches are made when both parties swipe on each other. Upon matching, a chat room is prompted, sessions are scheduled and confirmed, and finally, payment is initiated. TutorTies has created an innovative way to assist all students needing additional academic assistance.
TutorTies is one of the only tutoring services to enable tutors to actively engage in the student search process, allow students to establish connections with peers based on multiple commonalities, and expedite the process of scheduling a tutor in a quick and convenient way with immediate push notifications. After recognizing that booking the right tutor is both mundane and challenging, TutorTies created an interface and concept with technology to elicit an interactive and stimulated response by swiping and chatting. Furthermore, tutors can set their own rates and times for sessions with no minimum number of required hours. Tutors must meet minimum grades in the class they want to tutor. Students are encouraged to rate the tutors after the sessions, which provides for accountability and invaluable feedback. Game changer
Being a college student is hard- you can’t always do it alone. When I first realized I needed a tutor, I reached out to my professor to find a peer tutor, who redirected me to the head of the department, who sent me an outdated list of tutors for the subject, many of which were no longer tutors. Finally, I found a tutor willing to help. They were incredibly nice and smart; however, they couldn’t help me much with my class, as they weren’t familiar with the class format, my professors way of teaching, the test format, etc. I felt desperate. Luckily, just in time for finals, I downloaded TutorTies. I was able to swipe through a collection of tutors, who not only had taken and aced the exact course at my University that I needed help with, but some of which also had the SAME professor as me. Within 20 minutes, I matched with a tutor and set up a session. The session was so helpful- my tutor understood the class I needed help with, what I needed to do to succeed, what I should focus on (in terms of their experience with the exact course), etc. Just like that, I booked recurring sessions twice a week and aced my final. The best part was, after my first 10 sessions, TutorTies paid for $10 of my next session. Now, the more I use it, the more money I save. Great platform. I highly recommend.

A struggling student's best friend!
I have used TutorTies religiously since I was recommended by a friend at USC. I have had trouble finding a tutor for difficult courses since I was in high school. Now I am confident and do not fret when I am given a professor that lacks the teaching ability that aligns with my learning method - because I have a sidekick. TutorTies matches me with excellent tutors that save my grade, and my future. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to raise their GPA and knowledge level in general. Thank you TT!

Excellent App
TutorTies provided an excellent way to connect with students and provide course help. The app is extremely easy to use, operate and allows the flexibility to schedule tutoring times and set a fee at your own discretion. It provided a great way for students to find the help they wanted, when they needed it from the people that could be the most helpful. I highly recommend!

This app is so user friendly and easy to use. Being able to find a specially curated tutor for whatever topic you may be struggling in all on one respected platform is truly the future of tutoring. Undoubtedly a “must download” for college students!

The platform is super helpful for getting help in the most specific subjects. For example, you get matched with a variety of different tutors and you get to choose who you think is most suited to your academic needs. It is super helpful for GE's!

TutorTies makes it’s super easy to find a tutor who actually knows how to help you get a good grade in a class. Not only does the tutor help with the content of the class but because they have taken it before with the same professor they know what the professor expects from you and how to get an A.
