Just me57,
Great, but one suggestion
I don’t typically buy games this expensive in the App Store but I’m glad I did. It was well worth the cost and am loving all of it. Playing on hardest difficulty and am loving the challenge and light grinding/ changes in strategy that it takes.

One suggestion that I think would make the deck editing much better is the ability to save custom decks for each character. For example, I could have a deck saved for Copernica dealing fire damage and another with her dealing frost damage. It can be real frustrating having to manually edit each of them when facing different enemies and I tend to just try and power through some enemies with a less than ideal deck than really optimizing it. If this ability was added game would be perfect.
rj yj,
Top tier
Without sugar coating with further superlatives, just one phrase will suffice to wrap up my thoughts on this game —“Top tier”. Now the story might be too cliche and I understand there is hardly any exploration since the game is more chapter wise divided into several acts, but where the game shines and separates its self from other competitors is in the battle mechanics. The battle mechanics is fun, addictive and unique. The turn based system where cards are drawn or shuffled to execute commands is an entirely new concept. The plot and the characters are important; however, I value battle mechanics and pacing more. I also found the character interactions in the form of dialogue sarcastic and humorous. If there is one thing I would recommend to change is the two finger tap to skip. There should be a skip button to skip the entire scene altogether and move directly into the fight. Short game, not much post game content other than colosseum and rising difficulty. All in all, it’s a must play.

Wonderful game
Charming, with fresh art direction. Standard card rpg mechanics, with fun combo twists. Solid game.

Ran into a bug: went to play a repair vile while in combat, then decided not to. It was difficult to go back to the main battle screen from the items screen. Somehow the repair vile card got “stuck” zoomed-in in the middle of the battlefield, obstructing my view. There was nothing I could do about it, had to finish the battle with it stuck there. After battle was over, the card went away. Probably an uncommon bug, but it was an annoying experience nonetheless.

Update - a couple areas of concern:

a) I have noticed times when a full hand of cards covers up an enemy, which isn’t game breaking, but it is an annoyance when I’m trying to track enemy hp, etc.

b) UPDATE: This should be your first priority fix. When a character dies, their cards are still drawn/redrawn, and they are useless. The only reason why they’re there, that I can see, is *if* you happen to have a revive kit. But if you don’t, the dead character’s cards do nothing but take up space - this punishes the player twice!!!! Not only is the player down a character, they also have to deal with a hand of cards that gets exponentially more difficult to use with each additional dead character. **If they’re useless, then don’t allow them to be drawn/redrawn.** Losing a character and their contributions to the strategy is hard enough. That should be the one and only consequence for a character dying.
pimp of pixels,
Cool gameplay, didn’t like the characters.
The game has an interesting and daily deep card-driven battle system which merges pretty well with RPG style equipment and level raising.

That’s the most important thing, and the game did that element pretty well.

But the character art and story were grating for me. That game art is generally pretty solid, but the decisions in terms of the player characters and story… I did not like it at all.

They just looked… stupid. Permanently burned-in dumb facial expressions.

And, the “tap two fingers to skip” is basically useless. I needed “hold down with two fingers to skip everything”.

Nice
Story, art, gameplay, and music are all top-notch. I like turn-based strat so this fits the bill. Not terribly challenging on the first pass, but that’s primarily based on how you play I suppose. The art is consistent with I&FGs other games in the After Effects style, and fits the story-telling well to create a charming and well-conceived experience. The card-based gameplay imho is better than similar games due to the redraw system, giving you randomized combat without getting severely punished turn-after-turn due to poor random draws (you still need to know how to build a deck, the game isn’t going to play itself for you). You can tell someone listens to their play testers and cares about the play experience.
Captain_Anarchy,
Beautiful; an amazing, top-notch game
Let’s first be clear, this is a console game ported perfectly to mobile. The game itself is absolutely gorgeous. The Art and art style, the music, the atmosphere, the story and characters, and the technical side that glues it all together are second to none. So excited to have this in my pocket! It’s such a great game I can’t praise it enough. And to clarify further, this game is supposed to be a game all of its own. It’s not supposed to be like any other SteamWorld game etc. it’s a new take, and a GREAT one at that. THANK YOU FOR SUCH A GREAT GAME DEVS, amazing job! CANT RECOMMEND ENOUGH :)
Shearie,
5 star game but...
...it would be great if it had better trackpad support. I often have to tap twice for a single tap on the screen action to register and going back with the 2 finger tap on the screen can’t be done with the trackpad. Would also be nice if there were keyboard support as well.
TylerHawn,
Amazing mobile game
A little bit like Darkest Dungeon and a lot like Slay the Spire with a Steamworld vibe to it. Honestly it’s much better than the Slay the Spire port. This is much more worth the money. They story is nice and the gameplay/graphics are great. This is as top tier as a mobile game can get, simple as that. 5/5
Kelenelvial,
Wow!
Beautiful game, I’m loving every moment of it...and no pay to play stupidity...it’s just mine!! Totally worth 10 bucks!!!! Seriously, support this game, wonderfully told story with amazing game mechanics and it’s beautifully crafted. I would give additional stars if it was possible.
bethesdajess,

Didn’t see any bugs, quality game, Easy to play in mobile. Quality turn based game. Easily worth the ten dollars I paid. If you make a new one, I will buy it.
