Описание

A World-Class Game Clock for iOS. Updated for iOS 8 and the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

The most accurate, high performance, customizable and user friendly game clock on the App Store.

It provides the highest accuracy timing that iOS allows and has more features than any other game clock on the App Store. If you think there's a feature missing let us know and we'll consider adding it.

If you like the app please write a review or give it a rating. If you have any difficulty using the app or you want a new feature let me know at [email protected]. I’m grateful for your comments and support.

---------------- Features -----------------
* Individually customizable clocks for each player that allow configuration of:
--- Start time
--- Increment/delay time
--- Increment sound (turn sound on and off as well as sound choice)
--- When to begin displaying tenths of a second

* Displays the number of moves each player has completed

--- Individually configurable, each player can choose to have no decide if they want to disable the increment notification or can choose between 3 different sounds

----- Handles interruptions smoothly -----
* Never lose your place in the game. Games are saved when you receive a call or close the app and restored when you reopen the Merkmatics Chess Clock.

* Games can be easily paused and resumed at a later time

------ Simple, Elegant look and feel ------
* The active player's timer turns green or blue when their turn begins

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.

This is a significant update to the Merkmatics Chess Clock. The look and feel of the clock has been updated to a style consistent with iOS 7 & 8, the clock settings are now position based and the icon has updated.

Settings for the clocks are now based on position, the clocks are labeled A and B and the positions of the clocks are fixed. Before a game starts the clocks are labeled for clarity. Starting a game has not changed, whomever touches their clock first is Black and the opposing player is White.

I understand that everyone is busy but if you could take a moment to write a review the App it would be greatly appreciated. Your reviews have an ENORMOUS impact on the reputation and continued success of the Merkmatics Chess Clock. If you don't have time to write a review you can also simply rate the App by choosing a star rating and hitting submit. You can easily navigate to the app by touching the App's icon (next to these words) after updating.

I am going to be adding some features in the near future so stay tuned. If you have a suggestion for a new feature or want to advocate adding something, now is a great time to let me know at [email protected].

I would like to thank Matt McNeil, Rolf Exner and Abe Farraj for their input on the features in this release as well as for their help beta testing the App.

I am extremely grateful for all of the loyal users of the Chess Clock. Thank you all for your suggestions and I wish you luck in your games, whatever you happen to be playing.

Bug fix for iOS 8.1. I would like to thank Abe Farraj for bringing the issue to my attention as well as for his help testing the fix.

I would like to apologize for the crashing bug some iOS 8 customers were experiencing. I'm very sorry about any inconvenience it may have caused. The issue didn't occur on my devices running iOS 8 nor the simulators Apple provides so I didn't know about the issue until recently. Once I knew about the problem it was difficult to track down since I couldn't reproduce the issue. With Abe's help I was able to track down the issue and test the fix.

To try to ensure that this does not happen again I would like to setup a Beta Test Group that will receive App releases for testing before they are submitted to Apple. If you are interested in joining this Beta Test Group please email support. ([email protected])

I understand that everyone is busy but if you could take a moment to write a review the App it would be greatly appreciated. Your review will have a huge impact now considering the recent issue. If you don't have time to write a review you can also simply rate the App by choosing a star rating hitting submit.

I am extremely grateful for all of the loyal users of Merkmatics Chess Clock. Thank you all for your suggestions and I wish you luck in your games, whatever you happen to be playing.

Player order selection has been automated.

I would like to thank Fred Mellender and Joseph Cincotta for their suggestions regarding this new feature.

We have changed the way player order is selected to be more consistent with a classic chess clock.

Before a game starts both clocks are gray and play order is undefined (You may have to reset the clock the first time you open the app after the update). The order of play is selected when Player 2 touches their clock; this assigns Player 1 to the opposite clock and starts the game.

How to start a game:

Decide which player will move first and second. If you are Player 2 (black), simply press your button when your opponent is ready and Player 1’s clock (white) will begin counting down, starting the game.

Etiquette for starting a game: Player 2 asks Player 1 if they are ready, when Player 1 indicates that she is ready, Player 2 touches his button and Player 1’s clock starts.

Using this new method to select player clock location will allow you to start games without having to go into the setup screen before each game. Hopefully this will save you time and make the clock more enjoyable to use. If you don’t like this new setup or have suggestions regarding other improvements please do not hesitate to send an email to [email protected]. We really enjoy hearing about how you are using the app and hearing your feedback.

If you are using a iPhone 3G or earlier device please do not update to this version. There is an issue with this version of the app running on these devices. We are working on a fix and will release a new version as soon as possible.
The update has been submitted to Apple and is currently waiting for review.
