1.3.1
2023-09-17
Introducing interactive widgets, a brand new iPad app, and a completely redesigned Apple Watch app!
Widgets:
• A new interactive widget allowing you to quickly add a reading to HealthKit from the home screen of your iPhone or iPad
• A "most recent" widget has been added, giving you a convenient way to view the latest blood glucose reading in HealthKit on your device
• Please note that these widgets can only fetch the latest data when your device is unlocked so pay attention to the time associated with the reading
• The widgets require iOS or iPadOS 17, and the widget for adding a reading requires an active subscription.
iPad app:
• Starting with iOS 17, HealthKit data is available on iPad, and this update adds full iPad support
• It has all the features of the iOS app, with a few iPad-specific niceties such as viewing history and trends in a convenient multi-column display, and the ability to use a cursor to hover over and reveal important details on a chart
• Please note that health data can be delayed when syncing from your phone, and generally requires the iPad to be plugged in and on Wi-Fi.
watchOS app:
• The Glucomate watchOS app has been redesigned from scratch to take advantage of the new design language in watchOS 10
• More charts and stats have been brought to the watchOS app, bringing it closer in functionality to the iOS/iPadOS app.
Other improvements:
• Small design improvements across the board, making the UI more consistent throughout the app
• Move stats and info for a workout or sleep session into cards on the analysis view. This makes the waking glucose card feel less lonely.
What's fixed:
• Some issues when loading data
• Slowness when viewing all readings on a day that has a lot
• The History tab not respecting your preferences for ordering of the cards
• "No data" cards being clipped on smaller iPhones on the Averages and History tab.
This is a big update - hope you like it! Got a question, comment, feedback, or suggestion? Please get in touch via the "Contact" button in the app!

New features:
• Redesigned the low/high count view, and will optionally show times for these lows and highs. Time range will be shown if available - e.g. "12:04pm - 12:39pm".
• Quick-undo for readings. After adding a reading, it will be confirmed in a popup at the bottom of the app, along with an "Undo" button in case you've made a mistake. Need to quick-undo? We got you!
• Specify a reading's meal timing. Recording a reading before a meal? How about after? Doesn't matter - you can note it when adding a reading! Readings with a specified meal time are marked with a different symbol on the all readings chart, and in the all readings list, making them easier to spot when viewing your data.
Improvements:
• You can now tap (not just drag) along some charts to view extra details
• Fix issues with chart overlay details going off screen
• Better messaging if HealthKit is unavailable
• Adds some missing translations
• Minor UI improvements and fixes across the app.

What's new:
• Dutch translations.
• Allows the default glucose level shown at the top of a chart's Y-axis to be chosen. This will be used unless there's a glucose level higher, in which case the graph axis will scale.
• Shows waking glucose reading, if available. A chart has been added to the Averages view to help compare across days, and the waking reading will be shown as part of the sleep summary.
• Improves support for infrequent recording of blood glucose. If you don't have any readings for the current day, the Today tab will change to a Recent tab and show your most recent reading.
• It's now easier to see recent readings when readings are recorded infrequently. A chart will show in the Today/Recent tab, and the option to view all readings will appear in the Averages tab.
What's fixed:
• Issue with the time since last reading label not updating in real-time.
• Issue when hovering over a value in a chart, the informational view shown off-centre.
