Rafters Loot is the fast paced 2D physics based game where you control a raft, and try to catch the loot being thrown from merchant and pirate ships (the Rafters Loot). Make your way though multiple islands to catch different kids of loot and play against others for the high score.

If you like fun and lighthearted 2D physics games with serene backdrops, intuitive gameplay mechanisms which are fun for all ages we think you'll love Rafters Loot!

Scoring:
Keep the loot on your raft until the end of the level to score it, or have 3 items of the same kind touch to make them all disappear and score immediately!

Rope:
Realistic physics mean that your load sways on the raft as you move it left and right on the water. Using rope you can tie down items to improve your chance of keeping items on the raft. Rope can be earned through game play, by watching videos, or through in app purchase.

Pirates and Explosions:
Be careful for pirates who throw TNT that explodes your loot crates, spilling the items inside all over your raft (mini loot).

Mini Loot:
When crates explode, the items inside spill out and start to spoil. Before they spoil you can tap each item to score them immediately.

Monsters:
As you progress you'll encounter creates from the deep, who emerge to rock your raft. Navigating past these creatures requires timing.

Multiple Rafts:
Play with different rafts to see how large a load you can carry. Upgrade your raft by using rope and collected coin.

Ongoing development:
More levels and worlds, loot types, and monsters are just a few of the things we have planned for future releases. We welcome user feedback and suggestions.

This version is a complete rebuild of our classic physics game using the latest iOS technologies and is ready for iPhoneX!

We've added a ton of new features including:
- tying down loot
- mini loot that appears on explosions
- new terrains and images for a more immersive experience
- in app purchases for rope and to turn off ads.
- audio effects for explosions, and other events in game
- a complete user interface refresh.
- tutorials for new players.
- more loot types!

If you liked the original you'll love the update, and if you've never balanced loot on a raft, give it a go.

More Details:
At the heart of any physics based game is the engine, and with Apple's SpriteKit engine we can do more in less time that it used to take with the old engine.

We model the water, the jetsam , the raft and the monsters using SpriteKit. Each small physics event between the jetsam and the environment allows us to integrate logic so we can create a fun and playable game, where the physics are just a fun part of the experience.

Mini Loot.
The most fun thing to program and play is the mini loot, which was only possible with the higher speed of the new engine. This is when TNT hits a crate and the create breaks apart revealing an whole bunch of individual loot inside. The small loot must be tapped to earn scores before it spoils adding a fun gameplay element.

Rope:
The old game lacked any potential for strategy, or sense of economy. Rope is a great feature that lets you tie down loot that is touching your boat (or other attached loot). Tied loot loot does not shift around on your boat, though it can still be part of 3-in-a-row. Rope can be used strategically to expand or balance your boat but must be replenished, so it can't just be used without thought.

Artwork:
We recommissioned all the artistic work in this game and have some great new scenes to play through, as you can see from the screenshots in this version, compared to the former one. The new loot types, new interface, and new worlds make this game a whole new experience, even without all the great new features.
