Minor update this time, about UI, to have a better experience.
I cleared some non-sense and unused code to have a smaller app.

This update fix a few bugs and adds UI compatibility with iOS 13.

I fixed a bug in the users pages. It could happen that the app stopped working when switching between user's photos/collections/favorites. But not anymore.

I finished the UI transition I started in the 4.0 release.
I cleared the sections to get only 3: Photos, Search and My account.

What's new in Photos and Search?
In Photos, you'll get the main feeds: Editorial, Featured and Collections.
In Search, you'll now be able to search for Collections and Users.

For iPad users, the app is now more easier to use and gain a new fullscreen mode in landscape.

Under the hood, some bugs have been fixed.

It goes 4.0, finally.
I removed the push notification service. It wasn't used anymore, so why should I keep it?
The UI. Well that's the big part of the update. It now adapts great to all devices and I removed a few things to go back to the basics: photos.
Saving photos. Now a dedicated album is used to download photos into your gallery.

This is an under-the-hood update. To fix bugs.
I've seen bugs that causes crashes to some users.
I'll put all my effort into fixing these bugs for the next updates.
Other functionnalities will be added in a future day.

There was a bug when accessing the My account view.
The auto-scroll to top was in cause.
You can now access your account without a crash.

Splashbook is 1 year old now.
What a journey for the app since its beginning. Plenty of features are included now. And it is not finished.

To celebrate, Splashbook now discovers new devices.
With Frame Display, you can show to everyone the best photos on a TV or other screens.
Just connect and share the photo to the screen. Frame Display is available from any full view of a photo.
Want to display a slideshow of photos? Activate Frame Display from the News feed / Featured feed or each collection and you'll get a nice slideshow of those wonderful photos.
UI of full view has a bit changed. Now, it has a better look and it is the same look as Frame Display.
I Hope you'll enjoy this new UI.

One more thing.
Some of you may have experienced some bugs with the Add To Collection feature. Thanks to G. Nicholson for the information, it is fixed now.

This release is a bit special. Today is my birthday, and the 2.7 version is not just a simple number.
Today I'm 27, and here is a gift I give to the Unsplash and Splashbook community.

This big update bring more power to Splashbook and to Splashbook's users.
First, the app.
Slide-over and Split-view are now available to iPad users.
Yes, you can now have Splashbook in a smaller window and use the drag and drop to share photo with other apps.
Some users wanted a swipe down to close the detail of a photo. It is now available. Thanks to 8bit Snow for the reminder.
And now, you can even refresh news / featured / collections lists to get the latests photos. Just pull the list and you'll get the new photos.
Some bugs are fixed too.

Now, users.
Yes Splashbook's users got a new power.
If you receive notifications and you are an Unsplash connected user, you can now alert other people that there are new photos.
But a new photo can only be notified once.
To do that, swipe the first photo from the News list to the right, and you'll get a bell icon.
Touch it and wait. You'll get the number of people notified if you're the first to notify the photo.
This is an experimental function I added to the app. I'll watch if people are using it and maybe I'll add this functionnality to curated collections in a near future.

This update will be more usefull for iPad users.
You'll be able to drag photos from the News list, collections list (in Featured or Collections) and search list and drop them into another app.
This is just as easy to share photos into messages or mails.

The number of photos and collections received at each call has been improved too. iPhone users get this too.

Another app in your update list that will say 'Works on iPhoneX'?
No, I'm not like that.
The app was compatible with the X from the previous update.
I update the photo view, so that on the X, the photo can take the full screen.
It's just a view improvement.

I'll next work on notifications. I don't know why at the moment, but there's no notification now.
It's like the server don't want to call the Unsplash API.
Notifications will be back!

The extension had a small problem. As the app, you couldn't save a photo. Now it should be ok.

A little bug fix. Little or big, still don't know. I'll explain why. The short version: you couldn't save a photo to your library. The big version: you couldn't save a photo to your library because a description was needed in the app infos file description. You know why I still don't know it is a little or big bug fix?

A small update to avoid crashes when accessing user info if the user a no bio or no location added.

There was a problem with login. A few of you showed me that you can't favorite some photos. Indeed I wasn't able to do it too. Frustrating. But this is ok now.
You will notice some changes in UI and profile (user stats are here).
I will plan a new update for UI and following soon.

Let's present Splashbook 2.0
This is a huge update to include new features:
- Push notification
- Today Widget
- App Extension

Let's talk about Push Notifications. Every hour, our server checks for new photos and new curated collection. If so, you'll receive a notification. And if a user likes your photo or add your photo to one of its collections, you'll receive a notification. Of course, you can choose which notifications you'll receive (new photos, new collections, new likes).

Now, Today Widget. It's a simple widget which display the photo of the day. It is curated from Unsplash Source.

Finally, App Extension. It's a simple extension you can call from an Unsplash photo url. From the extension, you can watch the photo in its bigger version, zoom in and do action as the detail view from the app provide. But to like photo from the extension, you must be logged in the Splashbook application.

Last, but not least. A small bug fix has been added to this update. You won't see a list of photo you previously seen while scrolling. In a fast scroll, you could have duplicates entries in the list. Now, thanks to @taduuda, you won't see it anymore.

Little update, but not the least.
All unnecessary UI elements while scrolling in lists of photos disappear. All the screen for photos now.

A little update to include another action in the swipe on photos: add to collections.
Peek (for those who can use 3D Touch) has now an action: add to / remove from favorites.
And, last but not least, some animations are now included giving more space to photos in app.

1.8 is a HUGE update for the app. You'll get 4 new things.

Ok, let's stop the wait, here is the list:
- first, a little illustration in the search screen. The blank screen is over now when arriving in this section or if there is no result while searching.
- second, the search bar is always on top of the search results. No more need to come back to the top of the list to search something new (thanks Maud for this idea).

We're now in the 2 important new functionnalities, I think you'll love them:
- you can now swipe photos in the latest / collections / search to favorite or share a photo directly from the list. That's a really cool feature.
- last but not least, a night mode. Yes, between 8PM to 8AM, the app switches to a black color (like the iPad version) at launch to keep your eyes safe (the white can hurt in the night).

Now, you'll be warn when searching something returns no results.

What's new on the 1.2 version?
Well, you won't see it clearly, but two things are corrected:
- it removes images blinking when loading new ones during a scroll
- it removes some bugs user may have experience.
