The app offers convenient access to a selection of original, continuously updated stream of news from the Czech News Agency (CTK), published on www.ceskenoviny.cz. The news articles contain photos and videos. Share the content via email, Facebook, and Twitter.
The new August 2022 version brings a modern look and feel, simple operation, and the ability to receive notifications for news from selected topics.

Press releases: Get an instant overview of all press releases issued by CTK through its Protext service.
Specials: Unique articles on a variety of topics, highlights, and supplements from different areas.

Use the menu on the top right to switch between News and Specials. You can change your cookie settings here. If you are a CTK client, you can also access the CTK Infobank here.
News alerts:
Configurable notifications - highlighting the bell icon in the top right corner of a topic section will ensure you are instantly notified of new news articles appearing in that section, even when the app is not running. Because the Main news (Hlavní zprávy) section is a selection of the most important news from the other news sections, notifications can be duplicated if you choose to notify a combination of the two. Please keep this in mind.
Display mode:
Setting the dark mode for comfortable reading is available via an icon with three states: light - automatic: according to your system settings - dark.
Photo gallery:
In the photogallery, you can scroll through individual images by swiping left or right.
The descriptions below the images disappear when you tap on the text, you can display them again with pressing the "i" icon.
You can enlarge a photo by dragging your index finger and thumb apart on the screen. Double-tap again to display the entire image.
Navigation:
You can move between sections and details of news and specials by swiping right and left or via links in the top bar.
You can also swipe left and right to move between news articles within a section.
Swipe to scroll through the section headings in the top bar.
Dragging the list of messages in a section will refresh it.
Use the system return button to return to a previous page.

Aplikace je dobrá, splňuje má očekávání, našel jsem v ní to co jsem hledal, avšak nečekal, že najdu. :-) Dobrá je taky v tom, že narozdíl od Novinky.cz si můžu vybrat co chci číst. Oproti Novinkám však ztrácí na GUI. PROSÍM RETINA DISPLAY SUPPORT!!! Ve všem jak ikonka tak "vnitřek" aplikace. To je fakt hrůza! :-/ na iPad nemám výtky ;-) A pak ještě updaty článků. Měly by být od nejnovějších po nejstarších a ne jakž takž a pak se začíná přeskakovat. Ale jinak opravdu dobrá app. Doporučuji stáhnout.
