It's amazing how your life can change in an instant, how everything you thought you knew can become irrelevant and uninteresting within the span of one moment. For me, that moment was yesterday on the bus. I was sitting innocently, with nothing to busy my hands or my mind, when I saw something extraordinary in the seat next to me. A game, it seemed, nothing but a simple game. After watching for a minute or two, I leaned over to my friend and asked, "What happens when you fill up the whole box?" It seems like such a long time ago that I uttered those words, those naive words. What does happen when you fill up the box? When you've spent the last half an hour building something beautiful and real and complicated, only to slowly realize that your world is closing in on itself, and there is nothing you can do except hope and pray. What happens when you fill up the box? Death. Death comes every time, no matter how well your life is lived, or how hard you've worked, or how proud you were of your life, there is no stopping death. It may come at 128. It may be higher. But this game is life itself, and you will die over and over again.
