Description
Part 1 - Photographs:
On the application: Part 1 is composed of 10 pictures that will be displayed 5 at a time. You are going to listen to 4 sentences per picture and must select the one that corresponds to the associated picture. No description will be written. Only the letters A, B, C, and D will be written.
On Exam Day: For each question in this part, you will hear four statements about a picture in your test book. When you hear the statements, you must select the one statement that best describes what you see in the picture. Then find the number of the question on your answer sheet and mark your answer. The statements will not be printed in your test book and will be spoken only one time.
Tip: Anticipate what you are going to hear by imagining how the pictures could be described (who, what, when, where, how...).
Part 2 - Questions & Answers
On the application: Part 2 is composed of 30 questions or statements that will appear 5 at a time. You are going to hear 3 options per question or statement. You will have to select the one that best corresponds to the question or statement. Nothing will be written except the letters A, B, and C.
On Exam Day: You will have to answer 30 questions. Each question or statement will be followed by 3 options spoken only one time. Select the best response to the question or statement and mark the letter (A), (B), or (C) on your answer sheet.
Tip: Look out for any question words and keep in mind the main topic of the statement.
Part 3 - Conversations:
On the application: Part 3 is composed of 10 conversations between two people. There are 2 to 5 exchanges per conversation. The dialogues will appear 1 by 1 with the 3 corresponding questions. To help you, there will be 4 possible responses per question. Select the best response to each question. Press pause to read the questions before starting the recording.
On the D-day: Part 3 is made of 10 conversations between two people. You will be asked to answer three questions about what the speakers say in each conversation. Select the best response to each question and mark the letter (A), (B), (C), or (D) on your answer sheet. The conversations will not be printed in your test book and will be spoken only one time. Writing on the test book is strictly forbidden.
Tip:You can start answering the questions right from the beginning of the recording as they are usually written in order.
Part 4 - Talks
On the application: Part 4 is composed of 10 talks of about 10 sentences each. The talks will appear 1 by 1 with the 3 corresponding questions. The recording should be played only once. To help you, there will be 4 possible responses per question. Choose the correct response. Play on pause before the beginning of the recording in order to be able to read the corresponding questions.
On the D-day: You will hear 10 talks of about 10 sentences given by a single speaker. You will be asked to answer three questions about what the speaker says in each talk. Select the best response to each question and mark the letter (A), (B), (C), or (D) on your answer sheet. The talks will not be printed in your test book and will be spoken only one time. Writing on the test book is strictly forbidden.
