Flash cards may work better in some cases
I would not recommend this app for instructional or even at-home use in promoting fluency practice for 3rd grade students. There is a plethora of apps better suited for practicing the operations, and even flashcards may prove more engaging for users of this app. The coding is extremely basic, there is no penalty or rewards given for incorrect or correct solutions, there is no point system or progress generator, and the app does not have any instructional aspects whatsoever. Students cannot learn their operations through the app, they can only practice them once they already have learned them. While this app does have significant flaws, I do appreciate, however, it contains a section where students can fill in a missing operation rather than a missing sum/difference/product/quotient. This is an interesting feature that makes this app stand out against basic flashcards. I also do believe that this app is valuable in its ability to generate an abundance of fluency practice problems that surpass the abilities of a typical classroom flashcard set. Past these two redeeming qualities, there is not much value to this app at the instructional or home level
