It doesn’t work well. What’s more, I’m getting the sense that it’s a honeypot, designed by glowies to trap those so demonized by the current marxist administration.
When I say it doesn’t work well, I’d like to clarify: it works really poorly. Even if it weren’t a glowing honeypot, I would ditch the service.
I wanted things to work out—I liked the pitch, but even if it were legitimately an organization honestly attempting to deliver on their promises, I would leave the service at this point.
I’ve had their coverage for about two months. Two occasions, in that time, occurred in which the service failed. The first time took more than a week to fix. The second time was quicker, but twice I simply stopped having a phone number, stopped having a data connection, the ability to message.
And then, after they fixed the issue the first time, the tech helped who had helped me started asking details about my personal life—by email. And he didn’t explain how they were relevant at all to the previously mentioned tech issues.
More recently, the SMS function of the service stopped working. They’re currently engaged in solving the problem. People stopped receiving the messages I was sending. To fix this, I had to tell tech support who I was messaging and when.
Thus, everything you expect to withhold, in the name of privacy, with a service that doesn’t request any of your information upon signup—all that, and more, have I since had to disclose, if I wanted a functioning phone service.
Thus, I’m leaving this glowingly glowie organization behind. It functions about as well as an FBI honeypot would.
What’s more, they’re not very invested in making sure you, as a customer, are happy.
Edit:
It’s been about one week since writing the preceding text, which i am still yet to post.
The tech/help people with volta responded asking me to alter some settings that i might fix the texting issue. When the proposed solution didn’t work, they told me their SMS feature needs fixing and there’s nothing to do about it meanwhile. Meaning, nobody has the ability to text, and it will be like that indefinitely.
Maybe it is just a really terrible service. If so, i would expect them to be more apologetic, or to work harder to keep their customers happy. For two months now, i had functional service for about a week. If i were running the company, I’d be offering people refunds and discounts trying to appease them—that’s why it doesn’t seem to be a legitimately earnest company, in part. They don’t act like a business.
Anyway, i canceled my service. My advice, don’t waste your time, or your money.
