680 The Fan Hack 4.10.11 + Redeem Codes

We moved to Atlanta 1966 from mobile Al. That was same year both the Falcons and Braves came to the city . I was lucky enough to have parents that made football available to me . Yes and age five I was convinced I would be the next # 60 and the first Atlanta Falcon to be drafted out of the University of Texas Mr. Tommy Nobis . I idealized that man and I grew older I realize my choice I made was solid one . Amazing how that man give back to city he loved . It looks like it’s time that y’all at 680 and of course falcon fans to make a solid push to get the face of the Falcon’s in the hall of fame . Needless to say I wasn’t the next Tommy Nobis , I can tell y’all my family and I love The Atlanta Falcons and The Atlanta Braves. I’m grateful for 680 The Fan and always will be . You don’t to ever have worry about me giving up on the Braves or Falcons it just not in my DNA to give up or to quit !! Thanks to 680 The fan for being the rock that holds our teams together. We liked listening to the Atlanta Braves baseball games on the radio, living here near Atlanta, Georgia. The signal where we are was not always clear depending on the weather, antenna orientation and factors like that. When we found that 680 the Fan had a website, we often began listening to the game live that way, however, at every commercial break, it seemed that the sound would stop, and we had to hit the play again, over and over to keep the games on. Then, we discovered this App and loaded it! WOW!! It works perfectly! We can now listen to the Braves no matter where we are, in any city or out in the country! It’s great!

It’s a great idea and I would like to say how much I use it cause of work and travel but I can’t because of the extra ads that the app needs to have apparently. I’m not listing to the radio for every 2 minutes to have an extra ad played for 30 minutes then come back to the radio station and then 5 minutes later get another. What’s the point of saying it’s the radio if you can’t listen to it in it’s entirety. I’ve only managed to listen to a 15 minute segment a couple of times and then I just have to wait for it to be podcast to hear everything. If you want ads great but do them the same time the commercials of the station are going don’t ruin the experience cause you want more money such a stupid idea. Tried to listen to the Braves game at work and during the game got cut off of the broadcast for an ad one minute later same thing. I’m better off deleting till they change it up or change providers. An ad at the beginning or during actual commercial breaks is fine but covering content is just sad and dumb

I have been a listener for well over 20 years and have become a little more dependent on the app since I am on the road quite often, so when my vehicle came equipped with the ability to use Apple CarPlay I was ecstatic. However, when I went to set up the system tray (screen you see in your vehicle) to show the apps I want to be able to choose to listen, 680 The Fan app was not there. I saw the 95.5 WSB app and the 104-5 The Zone app from Nashville (Titan fan) but no 680 The Fan app. I have to plug the phone into the vehicle, and start the app manually from my phone in order to listen to you guys. Why would other radio station apps be that way and not yours? I am simply requesting the web gurus/tech geniuses there make it possible for me to add the 680 The Fan app to my CarPlay system tray. Thank you guys so much for everything! I so enjoy listening to 680 The Fan!

First off, 680 is awesome, no issues with them, this is with the app and developer themselves. This app has completely turned to crap in regards to streaming the past few months. What started as infrequent cutting out has become all too frequent and frustrating. No matter if I’m on wifi or cell, it’ll just cut out and then 30 second ad.

It almost seems like there is a random counter that’ll cut the stream and reconnect and behold, another 30 second ad. It’s infuriating at times. I hope 680 chooses to use another streaming provider soon. I don’t mind listening to an ad before a stream but while in the middle of the hosts talking, it cuts out for absolutely no reason (no service/wifi disconnect), then comes back and you are forced to listen an ad again before the stream continues is ridiculous considering the same exact app months ago had zero issues whatsoever

Love to listen to Braves and Jackets on 680, but the app needs some work. I try to sync up the audio with video on tv bc I prefer the radio announcers especially during playoffs or when the teams play on a National channel with announcers that are terrible. However the way the ads are triggered when pausing the app cause it to be unusable. I’d be willing to pay a small monthly fee to avoid the ads so I can cleanly sync up the audio and video. Also, I have a solid gig fiber connection but the app will “pause” the audio more often than it should so some backend work is needed to sure up the streaming. Those are the two issues that make it unusable for me. A nice feature would be to have your program schedule listed and allow us to listen to previous programs. Maybe another paid feature.

Living on the West Coast, I rely on this app to stay close to my all my favorite teams back in Atlanta.

Because of the time difference, I usually miss this first few hours of each day’s programming, so I really love the new app’s capability to catch up on whole shows.

As other reviews have pointed out, it does still tend to shut down too often.

But THE most annoying thing is that, for some unexplainable reason on the app only (don’t even think this happens on the online live stream), the first NINE MINUTES of each hour are endless commercials - especially during the morning shows. After those NINE MINUTES of commercials, you’re all of a sudden thrown back into programming “already in progress” - having missed almost all the first block.
You’ll then get 3-4 minutes of programming before going to their standard SEVEN MINUTE break.

So essentially, there’s no reason to use this app for the first 22-23 minutes of each hour unless you love listening to commercials.

It’s an egregious lack of respect for listeners’ time, especially when there are so many other programming options - including other Atlanta sports talk stations, whose app doesn’t play ads for the first NINE MINUTES of each hour.

I’m Georgia raised and a fan of all Georgia sports teams. I no longer live in Georgia, so I’ve used this app for two years to stay abreast of dialogue. Unfortunately, the app continues to disappoint.

When you first log into the app and press the play button, the app kicks me to the App Store aka “Spam”. While listening to the app, it will occasionally kick me to the App Store and then the stream is interrupted.

I am hoping that updates are on the horizon to improve the consistency of the app. I enjoy listening to all of the shows.

This app is trash and 680 should be embarrassed. I don’t live in Atlanta anymore and only use it because there isn’t another option. It is constantly crashing and every time you restart it you have to watch an ad. It can only stream if you have great internet and sometimes that isn’t even enough. 680 is constantly promoting this app but they can’t spend the time and money to make it actually work well. I have been using the app for over 7 years now and it’s barely better than when it first came out. It’s 2022 and apps have been around for 15 years, be better 680, you have the money and the fan base. This app is a constant disappointment.

I’m going to start with this, as a hometown fan, it’s so disappointing that I can’t watch my team on a local network. My radio quality is terrible, so long as I am driving toward Atlanta, the games are fine, near my house or further out, static and even hear a Spanish speaking station. Then they promote this app, I can get past hearing an ad just to hear the stream, but this is where I really get frustrated. 1) the stream is delayed at times more than 2 minutes and finally 2) the stream will just drop, I’ll have sometimes up to 30 seconds of nothing before I get the stream back. How is it so difficult for a hometown fan to hear their own team? It just really spoils the experience for me
