Karlinc,
Fun, well made jRPG
I’m a little over an hour in. The production value is very impressive for a small developer—probably just one person? The music isn’t varied, but what is there is good. The graphics are solid, and the characters are interesting. The writing is decent, but the storytelling is more unique—switching perspectives, playing characters I didn’t expect to, etc.

My only issue is that if you switch out of the app or get a phone call it will load you from the last auto save—when you entered or exited the map pretty much. So if you play on your phone, go into airplane mode and you should be fine.

The only other thing I’ll add is that the there is little need for grinding. Good is plentiful enough that it’s good to buy a few potions and such. The story develops quickly but at a good pace. I was hoping for the game to be longer than it is, but it definitely scratched my rpg itch. I’d buy a sequel, but hopefully the dev gets the resources to make a bigger story.
Sir Professor of Pun,
Felt Very Comfortable To Play...
As it had a FFIII feel to it, it felt like an old pair of comfortable shoes that occasionally lets in a pebble or two just to make sure you’re paying attention. I had fun playing it the final fight was daunting to say the least.
Figureless,
A great RPG with a unique story
******edit******* I’m stuck!?!? Does anyone know of a walkthrough? I’m stuck at the town with Darian and there’s a forest north, forest south, but neither of them lead anywhere. It immediately after the part where all the characters come together on the mountain with Xander and there’s a boss fight.

********Need Help!!!!!’

I wish I could give this 4.5 stars, it’s really good so far. My only complaint is that it’s a little too easy. I remember 7 Stories being a little too easy as well, more of a story driven RPG than a combat/grinding focus. That’s fine and all but I could use a little more challenge.

The characters are well written and the story is anything but derivative. The menu for combat and character management, as well as the controls, are perfect. Better than some of the “Big Time” rpgs on the App Store.

I hope there’s another game in this series, you can’t go wrong for the price and the games are great.

Jonescorp,
Smashware, you’ve done it again.
I honestly wasn’t even expecting 7 Stories to get a sequel. But now that it does have one? All I can say is—well done! I’m already hooked into the story and excited to find out where it goes! The gameplay runs smooth as usual, and the music is once again out of the park. Big fan of both games.
