FAQs
Q: Where can I find these stations online?
A: Each of the stations are run independently and have their own online presence. There are several online directories where you can find the stations featured in the app.

Q: Why does the music occasionally skip?
A: When songs are skipping, it is often because 1) that station's server has recently been reset or 2) the internet isn't filling the audio buffer fast enough. Usually these issues are resolved with faster internet, changing to a new station, or they resolve on their own after the server resets.

Q: Why are some stations blank at times?
A: Some of these stations are controlled by real DJs and if they aren't playing anything at the time or their site is down no music will play. Fortunately we have a variety of channels so you will always have a lot to choose from.

Nice mix of music released on the decade of the 1980’s

Reason for the long subject line is that I’m glad you don’t put into heavy rotation the “cliche” 80’s songs that everyone associates with the time period.

I feel more like you approached it like this: if we really were a radio station in the 1980’s and we don’t yet know what will be considered iconic, we would just be playing what we like, what was released and in maybe the widest variety possible till we found our niche. That is what you sound like to me, and that’s a good thing.

I’m excited to keep listening: at work, in my car, and I can’t wait to hook my wife up with the app as she’ll live some of the lighter pop ballads that I don’t particularly like, but refreshing to hear again and maybe cleanse the palette from the harder stuff.

I actually like your intro/outro’s with a few commercials which I know sounded strange but does make it feel like a real radio station vs just streaming my music.

Great!! But could use a few more things…

I think this is a wonderful 80s radio with lots of songs. But maybe you could add a few things?? Perhaps a search bar to search up specific radio stations?? And it’d be nice to have a button to perhaps save/favorite/like your favorite radio stations and have quick access to them instead of having to scroll to find them. And also it’d be nice if the radio stations were a bit different for example one could play well known hits and another could play more underrated less heard songs instead of mixing them both together?? It’s just sometimes I’m in different moods for different songs and don’t wanna have to scroll and click buttons for different kinds of songs. But other certain stations can have mixes of both :D these are just my ideas to make the app even more amazing

Perfect!

I am a big fan of the 80s and have been looking for an app that acted exactly like a simple radio station, and this app is the perfect match! They have just about every genre from the 80s that you could think off, and they play the underrated songs along with the well known songs! If you are a big fan of 80s music, I suggest giving this app a listen

Music no longer plays unless app is on the main screen

It looks like now when the app is not displayed on the Home Screen the music stops playing. Previously the music would continue to play if you had another app open are you close the screen to save battery power. It looks like there was an update and now the music stops whenever I switch to a different app or close my screen to save battery power. Great music but unless they can change it back to the previous version it looks like I’ll find another music app.

Good but….

As the header says, good but it has two problems. First is the song coming out of ad breaks is already into the first lines! Need to get the timing right to start after the ads end! Second is you will have some ads, a song & right back into more ads after 3/4 of a song!
They get these two problems fixed & this will be a 5 star app!! The 80’s is the greatest decade for music & everything!!

I’d rate 5 stars but too much commercials

Too much ads and commercials that would play everytime when I switch through each station it ruins 1 minute of the song.
They have the ball lowing ads to offer and the worst ones.

Best 80s App Currently Available

When we listen to the 80s this is the app we prefer. Lots of selections available all in 1 place. Aesthetically, the app is quite nice, love the icon and also the way that the stations are categorized. Its free, which is a big plus. Its among one of our favorites. Thumbs up. Love to Listen to My 80s Music

This app has so many 80s channels that I can move from one to another as I see fit. I have gotten to know the styles of many of the channels and choose to suit my mood.
I have recommended this app to many friends and family members.

Excellent!

This app, along with all of Nick Culbertson's music apps, is the best free streaming app in its genre! Ads are limited to a simple banner ad, and the station selection is just about spot on. Most of these type of apps originate from Europe or Japan, but here we get an American perspective. Get 'em all, you won't be disappointed!
