Curovate can measure your knee or hip joint movements (i.e, range of motion), at home with no special equipment. Curovate requires nothing more than your phone to give you an accurate range of motion measurement in a few seconds - watch the video to see how simple it is! The app also provides progress tracking for every repetition and set of exercise that you complete, shows you your achievements daily, weekly and monthly, and rewards you with badges for your hard work.

ACL Injury or Surgery - Curovate can be used by people after an ACL injury by selecting the pre-surgery option in the app, or if not planning to have surgery, by selecting the non-operative ACL option in the app.

Curovate is a physical therapy app for people who have had a patellar tendon graft or a hamstring tendon graft used to repair their ACL. Many people also have had a cadaver graft, or a graft taken from a deceased person, or a quadriceps tendon graft. All of the research states that the rehabilitation and exercises that people need to do after a cadaver or quadriceps tendon graft for an ACL repair is the same as a patellar tendon graft rehabilitation protocol.

Total Knee Replacement - this is when your entire knee joint is replaced with artificial parts. This is done for people who have osteoarthritis in their knee and they are limited by pain and inability to do their daily activities. If this is you, then Curovate can help.

Super useful // ACL revision surgery
Unfortunately for me, I tore my ACL graft again after having the surgery 8 years ago. Fortunately for me, Curovate now exists!

The app is super easy to use and helps you make sure you’re keeping up with your protocol, which can get monotonous and easy to forget at times. It’s customizable to graft type which is super helpful. Plus beyond that, its creator, Nirtal, is accessible and responds to any questions you have very quickly — big question for me was that I had a patellar allograft put in, which isn’t an immediate option when you customize the app. Nirtal walked me through what I needed to know based on my situation.

That’s what I think is great about it — it’s a program designed by a really great PT (Nirtal) who is available to you while you use the app. I got on the subscription service and was able to do a virtual pt session with him, which helped answer a lot of my questions. I’m actually using the app in conjunction with a separate PT, which is probably overkill, but I just find really helps me stay focused and complete everything I need to do at home.
ACL REHAB IN OROGRESS,
Excellent ACL app developed by an ACL expert
I’ve been using Curovate for 2 months now following my ACL reconstruction surgery. This app adds structure to all of the at-home work required following an ACL surgery. You progress thru stages where you do each exercise along with the video in the app. I’ve also paired this with 30 min video visits with the app’s PT/physio developer (an add-on service he offers). He’s extremely knowledgeable re ACL rehab and is able to provide really good feedback and analysis on how I’m progressing. I’ve been blown away at how effective the app and video visits have been. I’m 100% sure I’ll do a better job with my rehab by using the app. What’s more the app is really cheap given all the time and cost that goes into one of these big surgeries and rehabs. Highly recommend!

So helpful
I wish I found this app before (not 11 weeks post op). To be honest I only used the free trial but then I quit but don’t let that take away from this review because I would have used it religiously if I had discovered it early on. It easily breaks down goals and exercises daily customized based on your surgery. I also had the pleasure of e-meeting Nirtal (the founder). He was nothing short of professional when he assessed me after surgery. He took notes, thoroughly evaluated me and gave me tips and advice before I returned to work on how to stay motivated, and gave me shortened but effective things to do after work. I believe those tips helped me get to where I need to be. Get this app and let Nirtal evaluate you..he knows what he’s doing.

Essential for my recovery
I came home from ACL reconstruction surgery very confused about what to do. Nobody told me how to reduce swelling, regain mobility, and improve functionality.

Thankfully I found Curovate! My entire recovery is broken down into stages. Each stage has 3 different routines to do each day. Each routine lists the exercises, and each exercise has a video you can follow along with. Having a plan makes me feel like I can conquer my recovery.

The app creator, Nirtal, offers a free introductory zoom call. I talked to him 4 days after my surgery & he was passionate about the app & truly cared about my recovery. He saw how bad my swelling was & gave me suggestions to bring it down. Following his guidelines & using the app reduced my swelling by half in 24 hours.

My surgery was only 8 days ago, but I plan to use the app throughout my entire recovery. I recommend it to anyone committed to a full recovery after ACL surgery

ACL reconstruction progress
I was not regular with my physical therapy at home and I didn’t have a way to measure my progress. The app gave me an efficient way to do the same and also gave me confidence looking through different graphs over the period of time. The videos helped me follow the exercises and also the plan set up week by week is helping me look at where I stand in the path to recovery.

As a pre-surgery knee replacement candidate I was recommended this app by a nurse - and what a value it is! I was surprised to learn a couple of days in that I was eligible for a one-on-one live consultation (by zoom) with Nirtal Shah, a gifted DPT. He provided the most comprehensive evaluation of my situation and options I’ve had in decades. A great resource for sure.

The app is very easy to navigate! I started using it just a month after my ACL reconstruction. Everyday, you got a list of daily exercises to do, and the exercises have video tutorials to guide you through it. You can also measure your knee range of motion to track your progress. Highly recommended!!

Great program
A few months ago I spoke with a Physical therapist and they managed to be spot on with my injury (which I checked in person later with my pa). They directed me to build muscle with certain exercises and the pain + “clicking” went away. Great people.

A Great Resource for Knee Injury Recovery
This app has been great, especially in the times of shelter in place and COVID 19 - it’s a great solution for those of us with knee pain, injuries or who are post surgery and can’t get to PT or the doctor right now.
