I LOVE THIS APP! It’s my favorite app on my iPhone. I just love these effects that look so real! But please, can we give the app new effects and cool updates? I love the app a lot, but I am really getting bored of these effects. These Star Wars effects, Call of Duty, Star Trek Into Darkness, and everything else. So thank you SO much for Action Movie FX but please, new effects.

This is a while after writing this review and still no new effects. You guys should have an option where you can import videos from your Photos app. I mean, imagine if the camera on the app wasn’t working for someone? They could just film with their regular camera and then import the video into the app. Also, I would like you to make the scrolling faster in the gallery. And whenever you exit from watching a video in the gallery, it should put you at the spot where you left off because then you have to remember where the last video you watched was then go to the next one.
Overall, this app is great, but please go with the suggestions I said.

Simple and fun

I love that there are Star Trek and Star Wars special effects, but the generic ones are in many ways more valuable as you can use them in your own films. Downsides - it doesn’t appear that you can use your existing footage, you have to be in the app and shoot to add the effect. Also the “edit timing” function just appears to move where in your timeline the effect comes in, but you can slow down or speed up the effect. Perhaps importing the final saved effect into another editor would allow this, I haven’t tried. Also to the good - you can choose to export as a GIF. Fun and easy, although I’d love some more features. I’ll admit I quickly plunked down a few dollars to buy some of the effects I really loved, but there were free ones too, and none are expensive. Maybe the first time I’ve spent money in an app.

Great app, but needs some additional features

This is an amazing movie app that is fun, while also looking professional.

Has very cool Star Wars effects, but when you download the app it comes with only one Star Wars effect, the rest must be purchased

Gallery for viewing previous made videos (after every video when you click back, it auto-saves to your Action Movie FX library)

Does not have:

The option to import videos from your library

Amazing sound quality/volume in videos

Once Upon a Time smoke (if you do not know what this is, it is irrelevant)

Trimming option (this can be done in your photo library)

Reverse option for video

Option for multiple effects in video

Option to move the targeted destination of the effect

I would recommend this app to anyone who want to add simple or slightly complex effects for their videos/movies, but for high-end ‘Netflix or theater quality’ video effects, this is not the app for you.

Dang 😳

Okay I thought the people at development of this app was just boosting their ego by saying it’s super good and stuff but dang.. like I was just looking for Star Wars effects and I found one from hassbro and their stuff is lower quality than this! LITTERALLY! Like idk if the devs were just bullied into making this or what because this feels like an actual movie, the only bad one is the one with darth Vader when he smashes the truck because the animation kinda just instantly stops but either than that it’s super good. One more thing, some may be skeptical of the large amount of pay effects but 1. It’s really cheap like 2 dollars and also the devs kinda deserve it. Sooo erm basically in conclusion, get this and if you can spare 2 dollars to get even more good effects and help the devs do it.

Great App

So far the best movie fx app in the galaxy. There seems to be an intergalactic theme in this app because of the Star Trek and Star Wars fx. The best thing about this app is the range of the effects and the tremendous amount of effects to choose from. I love how it keeps the editing simple and has the red and green frame outlines during recording. There are still areas in need of improvement, however. There are a couple of bugs when editing and importing. For example, I recorded the video with the effect of B.B.-8 n the app, and it was fine, but when I imported to camera roll, BB8 was upside down. I am not sure if this has been fixed or not, though. Also, I was hoping for a Death Star blowing up or a Star Destroyer in the Star Wars bundle, so please add these. Overall, a great app, though.

ok so ever since I could remember my dad would have this app. I've always loved it and still love it to this day. people say this app never gets new things to put in your videos but the Star Wars affects have been added, so they're wrong. if you saw this app, wanted to get it but wasn't sure so you went down to the reviews to see how other people liked it - which is what I personally do - you should totally get this app, it's free! and even if you don't like it you can always delete the app after downloading it. but I don't think you'll have too. this app is great I would definitely recommend it for all people who are bored and want a fun app to play.

App crashes after in-app purchase

I really liked this app, so I made an in-app purchase to get more effects. I didn’t receive the new effects, so I tapped to buy them again (to see if it would solve the problem) and the program hung, with a message “Contacting App Store”). I left it alone for about a half hour, and it didn’t resolve.

Every time I close the app and open it again, I get the same problem. I even deleted the app, and re-downloaded it to see if that would work. I also tried a cold reboot of my iPad. The problem still persists.

I tried to contact support, to work through the problem directly with the company, but nothing happened (couldn’t even report the issue). After exhausting the other options available to me, I’m resorting to writing a negative review, which I rarely do. But if I pay money for an app, I expect it to at least work properly.

Best game

I love this game when it comes to prank Ing your friends it’s so fun and enjoyable to show other people your vid’s and get a good laugh at all the things that you can do to your videos that is why I gave this game five stars I hope you can keep improving it and adding more features!!! I have only a couple problems they are I think you should be able to go back and fix your video if you did not like it I tried to do that but it I couldn’t figure out how I might be missing out on something but I believe I know all about it for I have had it for quite a bit of time now

This app is okay. At first I loved this app but now it’s literally the same update every time about the stupid star wars thing and there are never new effects. I also feel like we should be able to import videoes from the camera roll or edit previous videos made. You should also be able to actually moce where the effect happens. Overall the app is okay.

This is I think a couple months after I wrote this review and nothing has happened so idk why u guys won’t do anything abou this crap. Like why isn’t there an import video option. Also I think we should be able to move the placement of the effects better. You can only move it by making it bigger. Also u sho7ld allow front camera. Overall the app is now an eh.

Restore purchases 💯% useless

This is a great app to play around with but I can’t choose these couple of underwhelming Edits so I hit restore purchases I’m like ok I’ll just redownload the ones I like and then I wait for those painfully slow bars to move across the screen 16 times and nothing so I wait restart my I pad try again nothing couple days later nothing after that then that then that I have never reviewed a game but this is really getting on my nerves now but besides this I love to play around with this and I hope you can fix this with your amazing developing thanks for noticing
