Actionbound is an app for playing digital scavenger hunts by means of installing digital content in the physical world.
The content is filled in by the users on the website actionbound.com making actual surroundings a backdrop for the game. We call these interactive mobile rallies “Bounds”, essentially a collection of diverse tasks, e.g., taking pictures, dancing, playing a game etc., linked to a specific location.
The program quite literally augments our reality by enhancing peoples’ real-life interaction whilst using their smart phones and tablets. Apart from the altruistic goal of helping people to discover “their environment by learning more about its history, politics and culture”, the free app is payable for corporate clients, who can use Actionbound for team-building events and the likes.

Has bugs
The map function with the iPhone 12 doesn’t zoom out.
For a geographical application - that’s a pretty major malfunction.
I haven’t used it for any geo-activities yet, but I did complete a quiz that seemed to be interesting.

Where? In Germany only?
I search for Bounds in my home city of Reno and there are none. So then I search the whole state of Nevada and still it comes up empty. When I go to make a Bound it says not to use the App, but instead to go use my computer! I’m totally getting the runaround here! I just want to make something fun for my family!
It seems like there’s lots of content in Germany, but that’s waaay too far away!
Also, there’s no manual and it’s really not the most user friendly!

Action bound
I really like the app it a cool scavenger hunt app to use I was all over the place and all of a sudden. the trivia game start popping up from action bound and answering question about the scavenger hunt and we did not make it through the whole thing but we still had fun
