More options for visual learner
Love the 3-D graphics and the ability to see addition in action. As you touch the apples to count the total sum, the apples are wrapped as if they were bought and ready to be packed home which is visually appealing. When you choose the correct answer, you get the same number of coins as the sum and that is one more opportunity to see the total quantity. That's reinforcement. Kids are motivated when they can collect a coin for each correct answer chosen in order to earn trophies and parents get to track their progress and accuracy after each game.
To make it perfect for my son who is a visual learner but has working memory issues, I would like to suggest the number sentence be displayed as he chooses the numbers and the operator '+' so that he can see the numbers and the corresponding quantities of apples at the same time. Would also like to have an option where the wrapped apples are numbered in sequence as he touches/counts them. I believe this additional feature will speed up his learning. Thank you.

Adding Apples
This is a beautifully designed app. Our 6-year old daughter with special needs enjoys this app very much. When counting the apples, they change colors after being touched. This really helps her keep track of which she has counted and increases her accuracy. Also, she has been self-selecting the higher numbers--higher than we have been working on. The app's ease of use gives her confidence and lets her control the problem set-up. Evidently she was bored with the 1+1 problems we had been giving her. I love that she was able to show us she was ready for more of a challenge.

Fun and functional way to practice math!
I love the calculator feel of the app, very cute. Aside from being cute, I find this very useful for my son during math homework and practice. I especially like how the apples change color when they are counted- this really helps him keep track of what he is counting better; my kids love earning the coins. Even my 4 1/2 year old enjoys playing! The ability to have multiple player profiles is excellent- and I love that data is kept on the accuracy as well.

Adding Apples
This app would be work well for a supplement activity. The students could have fun and experience what it’s like working in a shop like atmosphere. The makers made the apples very realistic, however, with the way the apples move around the screen, it would make the students very hard to do one-to-one counting, which might cause seem confusion. Overall, I think this would be a good app to have in the classroom and at home, but would work better one on one so the teacher or parent can monitor the students’ progress since the app doesn’t have a great feedback option.

Love the instant feedback
I am a special education teacher and want instant feedback with my students. This app allows me to have data as I have student "play" as they learn their math facts. It tells me how many they have incorrect and the percent for my goals as well. It also allows for students earn rewards in steps not just be over quickly. I love knowing a student will work for that internal reward, the trophy, and not stop until they see it. Love your apps!!

Excellent app!
I've used this app to work with my youngest sister on math skills since last year. She has a learning disability and really struggles with math and reading, so I try to push those skills frequently. She loves the math apps from Operatio and I love the improvement in her grades since we started using these apps. She's moved beyond adding in school, but still enjoys playing this a few times a week to maintain her skills. Hope to see more apps I can use for her form Operatio soon.

Highest recommendation from my family
This app is wonderful for easily, clearly and concisely teaching the math concept! Allows the child to do math mentally or, when needed to actually count it out. And when counting, touching the apples makes them change so it's easy to keep track of which have been counted. LOVE IT! Well worth the small cost. And, while you're at it, buy them all - Adding Apple, Subtracting Sardines and Multiplying Acorns. I promise you'll love 'em like we do.

Visually stunning app for hands on addition
My kindergarten students love this app. There is nothing else like it on the App Store. I like that kids can touch each apple to count and that the apples change so kids can't accidentally count them twice. It's great that you can have 3 different accounts. I would like to see the number sentence displayed to reinforce the concept even more.

Great way to learn addition
I love how the apples get wrapped as you count them, and how the two numbers being added come in as different apples. It is both visual and tactile, as much as an app can be. I would love to see this expanded to include subtraction -- maybe by eating the apples? It would be nice if there was a little more variety in rewards for doing the math -- decorate a tree house or some other reward system. Overall, a great app for learning addition facts.
