Easier, but fun
So far this is the easiest of the karma games I’ve played (I think this is my 8th). I’m not a big game player but I love these. Puzzles are just right, almost no ads, totally doable without purchases. I only wish they were a bit longer, but at least there’s a lot! Even tho this one’s easy, the tutorial is brief so I recommend starting with perhaps asylum to get the feel. Time library still my fav story but you can’t go wrong with these. Just pick one with a theme that appeals to you & enjoy!

I love the Haiku games. The main thing is the chapters. Some games are long and sometimes I have items that I can’t remember where they should be used and because of the chapters I can quit the game and pick it up again. I can’t believe they are free. The only thing I don’t like about some games is some of the puzzles aren’t explained very well or I know what to do but I can’t figure out how to work the puzzle. Two examples in the Star Struck game is in chapter 6. The dishes. That was really confusing but the lights. I just couldn’t figure out the controls. I wish they made it easier. I knew what colors to use but I couldn’t figure out the controls. I had to pass it. I’ve found puzzles like that but not to often. Other than that they are a lot of fun. Oh. And sometimes when I ask for help sometimes it’s not for the puzzle I’m doing. They should also break the hints down by steps so I can get the idea on how to solve them instead of having to use half my stars for the whole answer. Except some of the math puzzles. Errrr. I take it back. As long as I don’t close the game out completely I can continue. If I do close it out I have to start the chapter over again. But if I used a hint they will let me skip that game. If I solved it I have to play it again.

Decebt, but not their best
I love Haiku games. They remind me a bit of Nancy Drew, but instead of following one girl around on her adventures, you experience a variety of adventure puzzles all on your phone. The graphics are decent. Better than the average game of its kind. This is one of their older games, so from that standpoint, their newer ones are better.
Honestly, I liked the storyline, it drew me in and made me want to keep going. But a lot of these puzzles left a lot to desired. I am tired of doing household cleaning to solve cases and there were a lot of puzzles where no clear understanding or direction is given and the answers are so outside the box, I don’t think it ever would have occurred to me what to do next without hints or walkthroughs. I play the games because I like puzzles. What you need to do (what’s the next step) should always be clear, even if the how isn’t (hard puzzles).

One example of this is with the boat. I am told to signal the station on the radio, but as far as I’m concerned, the controls on the boat have to do with speed, etc., not radio frequencies. Also, how was one possibly to guess the animal dosages was the answer when the entire room is FILLED with three digit numbers? Most random passcodes ever.

Kicking my rear end!!
I’ve played almost, if not all, of the Haiku escape games and have really enjoyed them. The puzzles have been just challenging enough to keep me engaged without being so hard that I stop having fun and start losing interest. But this game for some reason has been beating me up!! Up until this week, I haven’t played an escape game for a few months, so maybe I’m just out of practice, and have forgotten the escape games logic, but wow, I’m having a tough time!! But I was still very happy to see a Haiku game I haven’t played yet, and hope there will be more to come. Keep up the good work, Haiku!! Thank you for making fun, challenging games with a good sense of humor!!

A lot of fun and very creative
These Haiku adventure games are so much fun. They challenge the mind with hours of different kinds of puzzles and cute stories. I love that there are enough hints given to know how to play the games without having to spend money. It’s easy to leave a review if you need more stars, but I just like to leave one when I’m all done playing because I earn enough stars just playing the game. The puzzles and games aren’t exasperatingly tough, and I enjoy the story. Great job!!!

The Det. Kate Stories Are the Best!
I have not found a Haiku “solve the mystery” game that I don’t love yet, but the Det. Kate stories are by far my favorites!! She’s a strong female lead character in a storyline that keeps my interest while challenging my brain to solve puzzles & find clues. And the artwork on this game is particularly good and the clues require some serious thought and checking around the scene. I can’t recommend this game highly enough 😁!
One hint: I always take pictures of anything I think may be a clue - with this game, keep those pics from one scene to the next!!

I can’t say enough good things about the developers at Haiku. If you like adventure, suspense, good graphics and great games, (that are totally free I might add), then what are you waiting for?? Stimulate those brain cells, use your head for something other than supporting a hat. Download a few and see if you too don’t get hooked. Thank you Haiku! I’m a 48 yr old fan!!! And no, that has no bearing on the targeted age of your games. I’m just a young soul who loves to play games and still watch animated movies and bugs bunny. 😂😂😂😁😁😁🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

No WiFi Game
This game plays like a escape game, but it has a plot with cutscenes (hence, Adventure Escape).
Many of the puzzles can be solved with ease, but the developers leave enough difficult puzzles for you to try and figure out (the hard puzzles are usually at the end of a chapter).
You can find and collect stars to use as currency for answers, but try not to use them unless it is necessary.
The best part (of course) is you do not need any WiFi to play this game.
Haiku Games craft their apps rather well. No disappointments so far.

Excellent Game!!
I love all of these games but this might be my favorite! Interesting, challenging puzzles that are just tricky enough to make you work for it but not impossible - so you get determined to solve it rather than frustrated! I hope they keep making more games like this because I lose hours of my day when I play it!
Only rated 4 stars (instead of 5) because if you have to close the app (playing on iPhone) for more than a few seconds - it sometimes sends you back to your last checkpoint. Otherwise - amazing game!

Haiku does good
So far I like this one, although the places I’ve needed hints feel more like the puzzle instructions were vague rather than that the puzzle itself was challenging. This one had much more obscure connections than past Haiku adventures. But there were plenty enough ambient stars to get me through.
One bug I need to report: On the boat, if you tune the radio before fixing the steering wheel, it gets stuck. I had to close the game, reload, and play the scene again from the beginning. Blessedly that wasn’t very involved.
