George Schmeer,
Some bugs, great nonetheless
Yes, there are some bugs. Sometimes, as I have come to learn, there are things that I cannot control in life. I am confident that the developer is working on the bugs.
One of the reasons I like this application, is that through its use, I not only have come to recognize my anger moments, as well as when my friends and counterparts also are in their anger moments. I don’t comment on this to them, as that is not my place to do so. I become quiet and reflect that my buddy needs some time to calm down. I am not here to fix him.
I’ve come across some bugs and while my initial reaction is to respond with an annoying stance I find myself laughing at myself, it’s almost as if it was planned by the developer as another way to recognize my anger and blaming others.

In closing, I like the application, I believe with time the bugs will be ironed out and I am confident with continued usage I will become a better manager of my emotions. Kudos to the development team. Well done! Keep up the amazing work.

Great but limited, offer more free activities pleasee
When I first used this it was great. The articles they offered and the activities were insightful and helped me realize a few things that i need to work on myself without making me feel bad about myself. It also let me do reflections on any event and what I can work on. But I feel that the reflections part needs a place that I can add any notes to the event or things that were successful for me. I also feel that the app does a great job in recognizing in areas that i need to develop but it doesnt give me clear way on how to do it without having to pay money. The app helps in recognizing what you need to develop, but the app gives general areas of improvement that seem too general to be useful. They show case other activities but you cant look at them without paying the money for activities or other features (which is understandable). In general once you finish the three(?) free activities, you need to pay for more. The only thing left that you can really do it document events that made you angry and it gives a general list of things to do for future anger.

Pretty cute little app to help teach good behavior
I found this app very helpful, I’m working on being less reactive and changing my communication style/identifying my feelings all at once so I thought this would help bc someone not being able to name a feeling leads to frustration and anger. I love the cited quotes and works presented here and the helpful tips being kept in the toolkit. There’s a ton of room to improve though. A simple thing like push notifications that state your calm-down habits would be one. Second quiz me on my toolkit items or even what I just learned in a section or chapter helps to reinforce the learned information, especially for me-types who are very “if I can’t see it it does not exist” to change a behavior I have to practice it but to change it I need to remember it! Also I’d love to see easier ways to plug in “reaction moments” I know it’s there but it’s too many clicks to find and enter how I responded to a specific moment. Small, but dislike how the progress button changes when you’ve filled in a blank and want to move to the next screen. I’ve really enjoyed the sweet ui and characters.
amoebamilkshake,
Ahead has made a positive impact on my life
There are very few apps that have made a positive impact on my life. Ahead is one of them. What surprised me about Ahead was the significant change I saw in myself just after the first week of exercises and reflections. I saw an immediate decrease in moments of anger. And I was quickly able to understand and identify my trigger emotions, like feeling neglected or unsupported. This app has taught me a lot about myself through insightful exercises and reflections, as well as quizzing my partner, sibling, and closest friends. I love how the app always opens with a quick breathing exercise, playful and beautiful illustrations, and friendly language. I recently completed my first journey to manage angry emotions better and just started a journey to improve my focus. I would love a journey to help with anxiety and depression. I’ve run into a few bugs along the way, but their support team is the best of the best. If you run into any trouble, reach out to them!
prettyEnemy,
A Step Ahead of Other Apps!
I just started using a free trial of this app, but noticed a glitch where I would end up with a blank screen at the end of lesson where a recap should have been. I really wanted to get the most out of this app, but I was worried that the bug was going to keep that from happening. I reached out to support to notify them of the bug and see if it was something that could fix before my trial ended. I’m not gonna lie, I was VERY surprised that I received a response—and it didn’t seem like some automated reply, either! They addressed the bug and noted that it would be fixed in the next update. Their customer support alone made me comfortably invest in Ahead over other behavior modification or mindfulness apps. I’m still exploring all of the resources Ahead has to offer, but so far it has helped me work through a very stressful and angsty few weeks!
ComradeNicholai,
This is the start of a really great app, however...
I have been using this app for a couple of days now, so my impression of it might change. The strategies are valid, the works they cite are interesting, and the way activities are set up they let you identify triggers, responses, and consequences. It's nice for acute anger outbursts where you yell at someone for 30 minutes and then feel better after some cooldown, but if your anger is "low and slow" you're pretty much out of luck. This app assumes that anger comes with screaming, hitting, or breaking things, but that is often not the case. I don't regret actions that come out of anger for me, I don't even take action! The issue is that I lay in bed and scroll instagram to avoid the angering things in my life, not that I yell at my mother to do the dishes because I lost in fortnite. Please add features that help with chronic anger and resolving the grudges you hold against people who wrong you. Anger as a reaction to things that affect you for years can't be solved with "take a deep breath and think about how your actions now will impact your relationship with this person."
DubbaV,
This app is life-changing
Honestly, the reflection tool on this app has truly been life-changing for me. It has helped my kids work through anxieties and big emotions. It has helped me better understand the people closest to me and how I can better relate to them and understand their feelings. It has helped me be better at recognizing my own feelings and helping me be kinder to myself. I cannot recommend this app enough. There are some distracting elements on the app that take away from the benefits. But if you jump in and go right to the reflection tool to assess emotions, it’s almost like you have a therapist or life coach in your pocket. But even better because you’re learning to work through your own emotions rather than relying on someone else to tell you how to work through them.
elorahhh,
SO GRATEFUL THIS EXISTS!!!
I’m diagnosed bipolar and today our couples therapist told me to work on regulating my emotions this week by identifying triggers and saying out loud when I’m disregulated. Finding this app is an absolute goldmine! Can’t believe something like this exists I’m SO GRATEFUL!!! 😭😭😭 Love the cute style of it and the simplified tools that also reward taking action! I’m a huge mental health advocate and a certified life coach, and so much of what this app suggests is in line with what I’ve learned from therapy and various self development groups over the years in a great little package! Thank you so much for making this, definitely committed to keep up with it to see the results of taking small actionable steps each day toward increased self awareness and inner peace!! 😎🦋✌️
kk4jas,
Great App
I have been using this app for a little over a week now and I absolutely love it! Usually I struggle with keeping the momentum on apps like this because they are time consuming and boring, but this app makes things super quick and easy. Within 5 minutes I can learn new strategies, plus it incorporates fun little elements to keep your attention! They reward those who use the app regularly with perks as well, a reward system that in turn motivates me to use the app more. I highly recommend trying this app out if you’re looking for something to help you manage your frustrations!

Not awesome
Reason number one why I gave it a three star is because it was mini reading and no one likes his reading reading reading for about 30 minutes a day or even an hour second reason is because when I do read it just tell me oh you have to say that oh you have to know what to do oh you need to have something to calm yourself down earth like something to hope you realize that you’re doing something when you might not even know it so that’s my second reason in my third reason is because it’s not even like that fun you would think it be like old pictures and blah blah blah but it’s not it’s just reading and telling you what to do when if you’re upset you don’t just want someone telling you all you have to do this and you have to do that or else something.
