Why would you have a password expire on a phone that is locked with a fingerprint? These are cheap cameras that do not protect the queens jewels, they keep an eye on 2 dogs. If you must, make it an option for the paranoid, the rest of us will just use our fingers to log into the phone. After all you do not have programmers to write a program for a computer, you just have writers for an app.
I will reconsider the 2 stars for a more user friendly app.

Please fix
This is one of my favorite gadgets. However the last update needs to be fixed. All of a sudden I am having trouble gaining access to see what’s going on in my garage. It seems to be working when I am home on the same network but when I am away it rarely connects anymore. It gets to 95% and just freezes. Please address this issue as I have come to rely on my device and after all that is the reason to have it on the first place. I am using an iPhone XR and iOS 13.3.

I got 1 camera second hand. Download the app and set up.
Apparently In the user agreement when it says basically you own and can never transfer ownership, they’re serious. So I bought a camera I can’t use.
Better yet, everything’s in Chinese (I’m not sure which Chinese so I apologize for that but I’m an English speaking American that has never studied Chinese. Spanish, Italian, French…. Maybe i could fumble myself in to understanding) so even trying to ask a question in the app correctly isn’t possible unless you know Chinese
If I could link it with my preexisting camera system or use it as simply as it looked and the one I got with a magnetic base and easy adjustments by hand, seemed solid.
Solid door stop. Maybe it’s possible to bypass the software and jump the over to another platform for a basic application? We’ll see

A lifesaver
I leave my dog at home and I use these to monitor her movements and help me open and close dog doors. They have been a lifesaver and saved me tons. A few times when I’ve had software issues mostly due to Apple their customer service has been aFast and effective.

Alcidae App Frozen
Come on guys! If you can’t program an app to work properly with your hardware you shouldn’t be selling either. Opening the app the screen freezes on the splash screen. If it does open you can’t go from vertical to horizontal without the screen being minimized. When you go back to vertical (or portrait mode) the screen is maximized. One star rating is really generous. Until you fix the app to work properly you should be given a big fat “ZERO”.

The camera still picks up motion and alerts. That’s the good.
The bad is that I deleted the app (it would freeze on the login screen) and now the app will no longer open on my phone. I have to come to the App Store and open up Alcidae to get to my videos.
It works fine, but I don’t recommend paying for this product.

App Frozen
App won’t open. I’m getting notifications and when I click on the app to see my camera, it doesn’t open. I have done all updates and restarted my phone. Nothing works. I’m about to uninstall the app and reinstall and see if that works. This issue needs to be fixed.

Add function for camera control
We learned the version downloaded from Chinese Apple AppStore, we could control the angle of camera through the app. The version we downloaded from US App Store doesn’t have that function. Would you please bring up that function in the US App Store? Thank you!

This App is easy to use. The user interface is well designed and the functions are working well with the device Garager. If they have more devices coming in the future I would definitely support them!

Does not open
Like others have mentioned, there is an issue where you open the app and it’s stuck on the startup screen and does not load to show you your cameras or account. Uninstalling the app and reinstalling fixes it, but only for a short period of time. Developers should definitely look into this as it has been happening for a while now.
