Excellent access to the material, but the app needs modernization
Michael Mclean’s stuff is fantastic! While the app gives you access to pretty much all things Michael (it's in the app name), it needs a significant update to provide modern music controls.
A better solution would be to port the material into Apple’s ecosystem--the music into Apple Music, the podcasts into the podcast app, etc. This would still provide a revenue stream but gain a HUGE audience that would likely offset the profit margin of keeping everything in the app.
Unfortunately, the app limits the audience size to people who are already Michael Mclean fans. He needs a more extensive fan base. Porting to Apple apps will help with that.
At four-plus years old, it's time to adjust the model to keep his products accessible and relevant to a new generation.
