Most interactive Text-Based game I’ve played
The game has a text style but adds in other features that are more interactive as well to keep it interesting, unlike other text type games that stick to text only. I rated four star because the translation or something is a bit off at times and the awkward wordage throws me off. Overall, really enjoying the game so far!
UPDATE: okay, so I finished in less than 24 hours. The story really hooks you, and the interactive aspects of this game are actually really well thought out. I don’t mind text based games but I usually lose interest pretty quickly. This game is keeps you interested, and even though the language throughout the game could use some work, I found that after getting into it I didn’t notice as much because I’m drawn in by all of the connections the game threads throughout. I’m not a mobile game raver, but I explained every bit of this game to my boyfriend. Absolutely cannot wait for episode two to come out, and equally excited for the “sidetrails” being added soon. Great job to this small team, and keep up the fantastic work!

Awesome Story
as an adult; I have to admit, this game is very intriguing and fun. specially when you have some downtime, bored, and/or just want something fun or different to do, to pass the time or before bed. def has a much better storyline than most story-choice driven games these days; and also has plenty of fun puzzles and side missions to unlock as you go on throughout the story. I don’t want to say too much and spoil it; but highly recommend for all ages 12 and up.
like to thank the creators for such an intricate; yet, fun game to play. when my son goes to sleep; I like to take the extra time and play my little puzzles and what not. I just so happened to have come across this game while searching for something new, and said “why not.” five minutes in, and I was completely hooked and captivated. thankyou guys so much for keeping mobile gaming alive and interesting, even for us adults. mad respect and props to you for such an amazing game and story. ☺️🙏🏼

As my title indicates, I normally don’t write reviews for games. However, this game is truly amazing. The quality is extremely well done and very clean. I like the casual taylor swift references included in minuscule aspects of the design. I also really appreciate how there are no ads unless you need a hint. It keeps me more entertained because I don’t need to constantly be skipping through things i don’t want. The pace and mystery of the game is really well written as well. It is a good difficulty, where it’s not super easy to figure out the close, but also not extremely hard where a person might get frustrated easily. This team is doing a phenomenal job for their game. Especially with only three people. Elmwood trail seems to be designed with the game player in mind, rather than trying to make the lost amount of money. All in all, this game is defiantly worth the download and i’m excited for chapter two.

A fun game
I have played my share of mystery/detective games similar to this but this game so far has topped them all. I like the clues that you need to discover, they all make sense and add to the story by bringing up more questions in an intuitive way that doesn’t seem forced. I like that the game provides a way to get hints by solving puzzles and watching an ad (which I don’t mind one bit because I do want the devs to profit from their hard work and support). If I had to come up with a recommendation to make the game better I would say that I wish that your answers to the dialog in texts would change the outcome of the exchange depending on your answer but the game really doesn’t need this to get 5 stars from me. I have been enjoying the game so far and I hope that I have just scratched the surface with much more to come. We’ll see…. If you are looking for a detective game give this one a try!!

Absolutely phenomenal
I personally, love mysteries. However, almost all mystery games I try to play are full of adds, you have to match things, or are way to hard and don’t give you enough hints to figure it out.
Unlike those games, In this game all the adds are optional, the puzzles are hard but not too hard, and there’s nothing that I have to complete to continue that’s not related to the mystery. I think the characters are great, the story is great, the motives are great. Everything. I finished this game in a day and a half— but don’t let that make you think it was too easy and short. I finished so quick because I couldn’t stop playing this game. It had me firmly in its grasp and I did not want to come out. I was hooked. Once I finished it, my jaw dropped at the huge connection and I instantly wanted part two. I highly recommend this game and hope you play it.

Great game just 2 small issues
Game itself is super good and it’s obvious that a lot of care was put into it. The only issues I have are the hints and general dialogue. The first hint is always outrageously unhelpful. “Look in the phone for a clue” Like no duh?? It gets frustrating fast. The only other thing is the dialogue is very… inhuman? It feels off. It isn’t fluid or realistic. ESPECIALLY our character. His actions and words make him seem like a 10 year old as opposed to a seasoned detective. I found myself just sitting there for a good minute because both dialogue choices were some of the worst statements ever and I couldn’t decide which one would make me cringe less. OTHERWISE!! The game is very well done. Puzzles are fair and the overall story is interesting. (also to those with epilepsy, be careful adjusting the photos because it flashes like crazy!)

When I tell you this game had a chokehold on me for 4 1/2 hours I am not exaggerating. It was a lot of fun. The ads are only present if you need a hint. They don’t make the riddles, quizzes, or puzzles ridiculously hard so you have to ask for a hint every five seconds. There’s actual intrigue to the story. There were some grammar issues but only once in a blue moon (i.e “I and Kevin.” Or misplacement/use of the word “answering.”) and it was only noticeable maybe 3 times. I was completely engaged and ready to fist fight every teenager I encountered for answers about Zoey. The art style is very clean, and the user interface is satisfying and very responsive.
The ending of Ep. 1 had me shook. I am waiting at the edge of my seat for Ep.2.

Can’t wait to see it grow!
Just got this game today and I’m instantly hooked! I expected a point and click mystery game, but I was surprised by the social connection aspect of it. I’ve never been interested in that style of game play, but I really like the frame of solving a mystery, with real stakes and being blackmailed rather than sweet nothings. The scene switch action is simple and intuitive, and I enjoy the art style. I hope that we may see more scenes as we get out of the office and into the field to look for Zoey. The graphic style is unique and polished, I like the story, and the complexities of blending who I am as a detective, with whom my contact will talk to, and who I am as a person.
The last thing I’ll say are the Easter eggs with how the game phones sync up with my battery life and Wi-Fi, and all the other app Easter eggs.

So entertaining (Minor spoilers ahead)
It is 2 AM as I am posting this. I believe I started playing around 11 PM? I was hooked immediately. Of course the game railroads you a bit when you already know the answer, but some of those puzzles were genuinely difficult. It’s so cool that it’s such an interactive game. I’m truly the detective and I know exactly what he knows. We’re in this together. I’m going to their Discord to see some theories BUT OMGOSH. The cliffhanger.

Pretty good
So far the game is pretty good, it does keep you engaged, dialog is fairly decent, i wish the answer choices were more diverse instead of having options that intel the same thing just worded different (one sounding more professional while the other option sounds like you’re a 15 year high schooler) the only problem i have is the mini games.. they provide you with no instructions on how to do it you just have to figure it out which doesn’t make sense as to why that is… i mean even the smallest sense of direction would help, but you’ll get hit with something completely random and have no way of knowing what exactly you need to do with it. lastly, i do appreciate the fact it’s not AD galore and it seems the only time you get one is if you want to watch one for a hint.
