We created nossaflex because there was nothing we could find on the App Store that ticked all of our boxes whilst looking good. We spent our year inside (2020) working to bring this app to life, we hope you get plenty of use out of it!
NOSSAFLEX is a naming convention that helps you know your settings as a glance.
NO = Number, SS = Shutter Speed, A = Aperture, FL = Focal Length, EX = Exposure.
This all lives in the filename of your images so you don't require a metadata reader to get this info out. Our app not only presents your data in this format but it also allows other information like roll names and film stocks used.
Our app has these current features for your endless use:
– A digital library for your cameras to live in.
– Custom-built light meter so you can get readings for all of your cameras.
– Ability to add in text descriptions for each photo.
– Take a reference photo on your phone so you know what the scene looked like when you captured it on your camera.
– The location of your shot can be tracked if you give the app permission.
Although this may look like a small list, we have a much bigger one we're working on right now. Stayed tuned for more updates, but more importantly – happy shooting!

It's been a while!
- We are pushing a small fix to shot descriptions – you weren't able to save them! These should be working again.

The things we fixed:
- Added some more sounds & the option to turn them off in the settings.
- Removed the link to the Camera in the info section of the roll. This was creating some nasty bugs, so we've disabled this feature for now.
- Fixed the bug that caused the app to move back a screen when trying to view the reference photo.
- Move the extended map screen to a pop up for simpler navigation and to avoid bugs.
- Added some more sounds & the option to turn them off in the settings.

We've added some extra features and fixes that should affect the majority of you – sorry this took so long, we're only a small team!
- Fixed a bug that made the app crash on the metering screen.
- Added the ability to add a custom frame size when creating a camera.
- Clicking the continue button will now lead you to the metering screen to add a shot to the last edited roll (this sounds a little confusing, just try it out for yourself).
- When editing a shot, the value should now be the original value input (for that shot) and not the last input overall.
- We've added some sounds! Have a click and play around and let us know what you think.

More than I could have asked for!
All I wanted was a simple log book to keep track of exposure. But this app right off the bat is easy to use and will allow me to meter and even look back on old rolls. I need to use it more but I’m so excited for my next roll!
