Analogue is the first app where you truly go analog.
By developing your photos as one did in a real darkroom, you will learn to see and understand what makes a great photo.
DARKROOM
For the first time you will develop the negative in a real darkroom.
In a fun and intuitive way you will pick the strip that has the best time and contrast.
And just like a real darkroom, you can make parts of the image brighter and darker by blocking or adding more light to the image.
You will be presented in a very easy way with lots of tutorials on how to use the tools.
The images will only be in black and white (but you may tone them).
DARKROOM FEATURES
+ Develop either your images from your camera-roll or taken by the Large-Format camera
+ Only Black & White
+ Stripes - As in a real darkroom you'll have to find the best strip. It will be challenging, fun and very powerful
+ Crop / Rotate - Both crop and rotate the image in the same tool
+ Dodge - Make a selected part of the image brighter.
+ Burn - Make a selected part of the image darker
+ Blur - Enhance the background with some beautiful blurriness.
+ Tone - Tone the images with various strength. The toners that can be used are Selenium, Cyanotype and Sepia.
+ Layers - You can add as many effects as you want. Each effect will be treated as a layer that can be edited, deleted and changed its visibility.
+ Zoom - You can zoom the image ten times. This will make it really easy to make the detailed work.
+ OpenGL - Analogue uses OpenGL, the drawing is fast and very fluid.
CAMERA
By shooting with a large-format camera where the image is upside-down you will actually get more control over the image.
The camera is only manual and back in the old days you could not even zoom with the camera, you had to walk.
You will be forced to slow down the process and by doing so, your photographs will be so much better.
At first it may feel a bit odd to look at the upside-down image and it can even be a bit challanging to know if you should move the camera to the left or right when framing the image.
Sometimes you will even laugh at yourself, but the more you use it, the less you will even have to think about it.
MORE CAMERA-MODELS
Analogue has now added two more camera-models.
+ Medium-format which will produce a square image and just as the large-format camera it is manual.
+ Small-format which is a real basic point and shoot camera where you pretty much only shoot at what you see. Nothing to set up with, nor zoom.

+ Shutter / ISO - You will set these individually
+ Focus - With a beautiful crafted loupe, you will get full control over the sharpness

Thanks to Ronnie Sutherland who emailed me letting me know he found a couple of nasty bugs in the settings, I have now fixed them.
The bugs made it impossible to read the tutorials, contact me through email and send sms.

Revamped my rating because author fixed the issue.
It’s really “the” go-to black and white camera app for iPhone, in my humble opinion.
Really a pleasure to use! However, the small format viewfinder doesn't match up (to be able to view your subject correctly. This is on iPhone 6s Plus.)
And, you're unable to (see) the shutter release button (Again in small format/iPhone 6s Plus.)
So, you have to tap around until you find it.
I contacted the author and had a brief discussion about it and told him it must be an iPhone 6s Plus issue, but never received a reply after that; nor has there been a fix for said issue.
If there were fixes or even a reply showing concern with the issue, I would rate it higher.

Coolest photography app I've used!
Taking and editing a single picture can take quite some time with this app, which helps you focus on the small details which quick snapshots night not pick up. The app is very in-depth with clear explanations of every feature, even with examples of the manual methods used to dodge and blur elements in a photograph. Color photos would be a nice plus but not very historically accurate. Overall a great experience, actually having to sit down and manually expose and focus every image makes you appreciate the skill needed to develop a quality final picture!

This unique black and white app offers an amazing and fun way to convert your images to pleasing monochromatic ones. Don't expect your editing workflow to be as fast as you use the other apps since this emulates the developing of negatives in a real darkroom. It gives you better control of how your image will turn out. I would also like to commend Marcus Carlsson for coming up with a tutorial that ordinary people like me who never used a darkroom would easily understand.
This version addressed my request to include the images from my camera roll. Thank you Marcus!
I hope in the next update, the masking would be better. I noticed that my swipes aren't as clean as I expect it to be when dodging or burning even if I use different stylus. Once it's addressed, I'll change my rating to five stars!

This is simply an amazing app. Far beyond most of the many I have tried.
Simple and clean with extremely sophisticated results.
The idea to model a darkroom in the digital realm is just plain lovely.
Not to mention that when I messed up my app by not paying attention to the system requirements the developer graciously helped me get back up in short order.
