Anthem Remote Hack 3.2.2 + Redeem Codes

It’s hit or miss that it will connect. The first few days were good however now the app closes after launch. I had the same problem with the old app. Good thing play fi has there app working properly which offsets this app.

I love the equipment and sound however the company is behind the times by many years when comes to the process of software firmware updates on the equipment. Also on features that competitors have which makes sense that the app would be frustrating as well.

I chose anthem for the sound not their ability to provide features that are available on entry level equipment.

Garbage app for garbage receiver. My Anthem MRX 720 receiver has never worked properly. The picture on my tv Glitches with Dolby vision, wont play SiriusXM and now It won’t hold the settings for adjusting speaker level, bass and treble from this app and the the receivers remote. When I called customer service about these issues they said when it did hold the settings it was a malfunction. That making these adjustments are only on the fly not permanent. Mind you I’ve had this receiver for about four years. There are no knobs on the unit itself that can be permanently adjust. So every time I turn on and off the unit the bass treble speaker level return to zero 🤦‍♂️. This version of this app is causing these problems.
Finally 3.2.0. is working as advertised. Bass treble and speakers levels can be adjusted.

I'm not sure why others are having issues. It found my device immediately and all the functions have been operational and stable from day one.
It does, however, need an update to keep up with the latest firmware changes in the MRX/AVM...it still uses the old listening mode list. (This is the only reason I docked a star.)
Also, a feature request: PLEASE make a discrete command to turn the OSD on/off! Especially when using the remote, but also the iOS app, it's a pain to have to navigate through the Setup menu every time that has to be changed.

I love the amp, and the ability to customize my theatre setup. But the app is lacking the same experience. It won’t stay connected to our WiFi, so I hard wired it. Worked-ish for a while, then iOS 14 came out and there’s a new bug. Not keeping my hopes up on it getting since this app doesn’t get updated often.

If this could get fixed, along with an Apple Watch companion app (input selection and volume control, doesn’t need to be fancy), you’d be crushing it Anthem.

So it’s a little glitchy. Like sometimes is recognizes the anthem but then cant control it. Restarting everything does the trick. But otherwise, the remote is the most direct way to get things done, especially when watching a movie or listening to music in the dark. Also, my phone is always within reach (my pocket) and the remote is far away. Keeps my chill vibe going to leave the lights low and not have to get up. Yeah ok, 1st world probs, but so far waaaaaaay better than the Sony receiver + app in the game room.

The whole idea of having an app is a convenient single point of access and control of the receiver. I cannot get this to connect. My MRX 740 is hard wired to a 1G network. The product had no issue updating itself and after the update, I had to reboot the MRX so that Arc Genesis would work. That was my only issue.

Yet this app has not worked yet. Others have had similar issues and offered their frustration. If the app does not work or works less than 5% of the time either address the problem or remove it from the App Store.

Unfortunately I will removing this app from my phone as it is worthless.

It just breaks, exits on launch. Totally unusable after iOS 13 update.

I own a lot of Anthem equipment, and it’s disappointing that lower end companies like Onkyo, Pioneer, Denon, etc., had their apps ready to go and updated well before the iOS 13 release, while a high end equipment maker like Anthem just flounders. Developers have known for months about iOS 13, and beta versions have been available to developers for several weeks. Now Anthem didn’t have its act together to update this app is beyond me, but it suggests that the company isn’t as technologically advanced as they want people to think.

Overall, I like where this app is heading, but it has been glitchy. Biggest gripe — when I use the app to try to switch to a different listening mode (from Dolby surround to DTS Neural, for example), the change briefly is reflected in the display on my tv, but then it immediately reverts back to the original setting. Frustrating, because the ability to switch between listening modes is one of the main reasons to use the app.

We have been waiting a long time for this app so I thought they would hit a homerun with this one. Download the app, Open the app and it found my receiver right away. I was excited. When the app loaded up, the volume controls would not work. The power button turned the receiver off, but would not turn it back on. After closing the app and re-opening it, it was completely grayed out and nothing worked. uninstalled app reinstalled the app same thing. grayed out and nothing works. I think you guys missed the mark on this one.

This app works flawlessly from my experience and is extremely helpful over the remote for visibility of volume level, switching sources and getting reception from all over my large (36 x 48) listening room no matter obstructions. Great in low level lighting vs. the remote too. An extremely useful feature of my MRX 720. Bravo to Anthem!
