While this game has a number of the basics of a Roguelike in place, it suffers from being too simple and ‘safe’ at this point. All combat is essentially melee combat, regardless of your supposed class or the type of monster you are facing. With no starvation mechanic or enemy reinforcements, you are free to take all the time you want on a level. The orb of death is a neat idea in theory, but I have never had reason to use one.
I’d firmly suggest adding in slow innate HP regen (maybe 1% a turn), while also making the monsters more numerous and dangerous in general. Also consider in-dungeon merchants or a way to teleport to and from a town, to spend that loot you find. Finally, ranged combat - mundane and magical - for both the player and monsters.
As-is, the app has been cute for an evening, but ten levels in is seeing me bored with how it all starts feeling like more of the same.
