I have a lot of fish apps that I can add fish and decorations to the tank, even have multiple tanks in one app, but this app was a nice surprise. The two set ups are a freshwater tank and an open marine environment. Fish aren't "realistic" looking, in other words, this isn't one of those apps that you can swear they're almost lifelike, but they are very colorful and eye catching. The manta rays motion was off, but the fish swimming was pretty good for animated. The freshwater tank you can only add fish, not a big variety, the decorations can't be altered. Now to the part that caught my attention, the open marine environment. You only get one, and again, it's not "realistic". It's only a sand bottom and sunlit water. You can decorate with a good selection of items, rocks, sea grass, anemones... here's the best part... you don't have to buy any of the decor, earn pearls or coins, wait days to get items, it's all there and there's no limit to what you use. Items can be placed anywhere, kind of like a drag and drop, and layered on top of each other any way you want. Word of advice, start at the background and work forward, left side first, then the right, because if you're layering, and you touch an already placed item, it will move. The items scroll down from the right side of the screen so if you decorate right side first, all you will be doing is dragging your setup all over the place. When your done with your masterpiece, tap the top left hand corner for HOME to keep your decor. If you shift to freshwater you can get back your marine tank by tapping the marine setup, tap NEW SETUP, the next screen will prompt you to either do a new marine set up or LOAD, tap load and you should get back your previous marine tank. I learned this the hard way, lost my set up, there are no instructions. Last tip, if it's played off line, there are no annoying ads. Here are the glitches, why it's only four stars, there are no true instructions, the decor is very sensitive to being moved when setting it up and even after it's all finished, you can't touch any part of the decorations or they will still get moved. You can look at your creation, but touching can make it a mess. Overall the pros out weighed the bad points, especially with free unlimited reign when creating the marine screen. Thumbs up, it was refreshing not to have to keep paying for items or waiting to earn them, I really enjoy your app.
