I wanted to wait a bit to write this review so I could give my honest opinion. When I first grabbed it I noticed the art and appreciated the style. It was like a throwback to my childhood and it made me want to see what else the game had to offer.
When I jumped into lvl 1 I really sucked at the tilt controls, but after a few minutes I started weaving around and it got me much more engaged than I do with many other games.
When I reached lvl 8...and died. I realized how much of a challenge the game is and how much more there was to it. I love the variety of enemies and how I have to focus on my positioning in order to not die instantly to some of the more challenging foes!
Finally, the part that really gave this game charm AND what keeps bringing me back to it in my spare time between tasks, is the story. The writer really know how to play with the imagery and set a mood that makes me think about the world of these characters and makes me excited to see how the story (and game) develops!
I realize that this review is a bit long, but I feel like this game is really great and I don’t want people to hesitate trying it out, just because it isn’t produced by King or some other big name app maker. I really want to see more and I really want there to be more buzz for this writer, because he’s got a vision and a world I can’t wait to explore!
