Can’t believe it’s an app
Recently with the ever growing pandemic going on in the world I’ve been spending a lot of time playing around with apps on my phone, and if you like games similar to the Diablo franchise this game game is a great place to start. Although I haven’t reached very far in the quest line, I’ve had a lot of fun with it so far, and the game seems to run very smooth and I haven’t ran into any bugs to speak of at all. The only thing that aggravates me in the app is when you move down a narrow corridor with your follower behind you and he blocks you from being able to move out of the corridor, and pushing him or rolling towards him is very slow and time consuming. I’m a big fan of the mage archetype so I started learning all of the elemental spells at first, and while very powerful, even maxing out my intelligence with all five stat points every level didn’t seem to be enough to sustain my mana without chugging down potions. Melee weapons are found everywhere, and archers don’t have a need for arrows because the bows fire without them as far as I know, but the mage has to have mana to use the spells, so it kind of puts them in a more expensive spot spending most of their gold on potions. Other than those complaints I believe this game is definitely heading in the right direction, and I can really tell the developers know what they are doing, and are very capable of making this game a 5/5.

Solid overall, with a few opportunities for growth.
I’ve been playing the game for a week or so now and am halfway through act 3. So far, so good. Gameplay is simple but engaging, the leveling system and skill trees are straightforward, and I love how “open” character development is. While the game is fairly linear, I still feel there are enough side quests to make it feel bigger than it is. Feels very similar to Diablo 3 without being a total clone. Also, it really does feel pretty “freemium” aside from the need to purchase anything beyond act 1 (and really, purchase price is just fine for the quality of content).
A few areas could use some improvement -
1. Collision. Oftentimes my henchmen have gotten me killed by boxing me in, preventing me from dodging enemy mechanics or hits. If collision is going to be present in this case, henchmen AI could use some improvement.
2. Gold. Though you do lose a certain % of gold at higher levels of difficulty, gold seems fairly unimportant. You collect so much through the course of play that buying expensive items doesn’t feel very exciting. I’m not sure if there are any special artifacts in the game, but so far gear is just a tool with no unique value to it. This may have been intended, and could be my personal preference, but I’d like gear acquisition to feel more impactful.
Otherwise this is a solid title. Small tweaks aside, I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a solid sword+board style RPG on the go.

So close yet fundamental mistake…
At first it seems to be an exceedingly fair offer for a mobile game. Really nice little indie iso ARPG. Only 4 dollars for three acts of content. Great and perfect offer for customers. But a little bit later you stumble upon a fundamental micro transaction mistake that will absolutely ruin your experience unless your willing to get Nickle and dimed consistently through the game. They locked gear identification behind a VC with real money. One of the most common mechanics in this genre of game. Immediately went from 4 or even 5 star definitely purchase to 2 or even one star do not buy unless you want to waste money to see what stats your gear have. Just a fundamental misstep in what would otherwise be a great little entry in what would surely have been more games I would be looking out for. If this changes I will update. DEVS if you want to create a monetization system that is above board and will not sacrifice obtaining goodwill from customers and fans please check out games from the trese brothers. Specifically star traders. It is so so so important to get those systems right in the mobile marketplace early on if you want true long term fan commitment and success. Have a good day!

Possibly Great, but needs work
The game shows great promise, first of all. I finished the 1st act and it was a lot of fun (after the 1st act you have to pay to continue). The problems have been mentioned before and they need to issue a patch soon. Not finding the equipment with the gem in it you just enchanted is not good. Also, the equipment screen when buying, selling, enchanting needs to be all incorporated somehow into a more streamlined concept. You have to keep switching in and out of screens and that can be annoying. Also, a little explanation of how things work w/b nice. Eg. gems are great to work with, but some of their explanations are really lacking (use of pronouns). Define a little better which exact entity the gem is affecting. But, don’t let these minor quibbles stop you from giving this excellent game a try. Graphics are great, it’s a real RPG, and it’s fun. 4 stars for now until they fix the above and aforementioned (other reviews) problems. Thanks for reading this entire review. Try it!

Closest you'll get to Diablo, worth your time!
Update: After beating the the second act I find I'm unable to go back and replay other acts. I thought after act 3 I'd be able to roam free and finish missing quests, but not only can I not do that, I also can't use my awesome hero at all anymore for leveling or fun untill they release the next act is released... So sad.
Despite the technical issues that would make it a 4, it definitely gets a 5 because of its honest, reasonable pricing, non pay to win attitude, offline playability, replayability, and ultimately just how enjoyable it is.
The game is hella fun and interesting with good humor, and it is well made for the most part. For any Diablo or Torchlight or Titan Quest fans out there this is for you.
It does have some issues with targeting and collision (especially when your loot gets stuck in an object or out of the map/your reach - the game could seriously use a magnetic collection effect)
The small top area to move the camera should be expanded greatly.
Most importantly, the skills buttons should have their own directional targeting so I don't have to try and turn around while running and try to target and pray I get what I want while trying to kite. (Think any mobile MOBA joystick style, that's what this needs)
All-in-all, well worth your time and money for sure!

Excited by the potential
I’m having fun playing this game, but it has room for improvement. I bought a jewel for 41,000 gold, but when I went to equip it it wasn’t in my inventory. It just disappeared. I paid twice to disenchant and re-enchant another item because the information did not update correctly switching between screens. Also, I wish the auto targeting for the archer was a bit more accurate. I have to move towards the enemy to target him, but on such a small screen that brings me into weapons range, especially if I’m being chased. These are details, though. The mechanics of the game are just what I was looking for. It’s a real rpg, not that flashy, insubstantial, auto-play crap designed to make you buy gems. I appreciate the fort here and look forward to what comes. But, please, fix the disappearing gear issue. I won’t want to play if I keep losing top end gear the aether.

Great Game
At first the game was a bit odd to play. I didn't quite enjoy the camera's fast paced movement if you held too long to one side, nor did I enjoy reaching my thumb towards the middle of my screen (I have small hands compared to my device).
That being said, I stuck through the game and quite enjoyed the story it told. Is it a Tolkien novel? No. But it was short, sweet and to the point with a couple typos along the way. The various enemies, landscapes and encounters showed that this wasn't just a one trick pony.
I do wish that there were available fashion outfits to wear over my odd hodge-podge of collected armor. One could be hidden, one could be a rare drop chance, another for completing the game, or even the bonus act, or for purchase. But this isn't necessary and is just for my own desires.
In the character window I would like to see a 360 controllable movement of the character. Similar to the 360 view of the guardians in Act 5. That way we get to see our character in full glory. It is hard to see how cool the weapon design is if it's not in view.
Lastly, I hope there's more story to be told. I think this is already a great game that just needs to tighten a few nuts and bolts.

If you like Diablo.
I don’t have much to say about the fine mechanics of this game, but I can say I enjoy this game very much. I was looking for a Diablo-ish game I could play in the small moments afforded to me as a dad to a 4year old in a pandemic, working a full time job, on top of my day to day responsibilities, and this game satisfied my desire to play while I’m “in the bathroom” or right before I call it a day. So far I have yet to spend any money on this game, so if your looking for a free to play game, this game is doable in that regard, however I will probably put some money into the game to support the developers. There’s nothing like slaying goblins, zombies and mutant spiders to help you disengage from the odd times we live in, so thank you to the developers for the escape.

WOW!! This game plays more like a pc/console game than an app and reminded me immediately of amazing classics like Baldur’s Gate. I cannot express how incredibly well done this game is!
Uniquely, this game doesn’t force players to limit themselves to a class. Players manually distribute stats and fully customize character strengths. Additionally, you can actually EXTRACT the power from a special item and put it onto something else. (Like if you find enchanted chainmail with +1 constitution, you can extract the +1 constitution from the chainmail and add it to anything with an open magic slot. SO useful!)
Right now I’m wielding a 40D sword, casting 90D spells, and tweaked my armor to regenerate life and mana.
I LOVE THIS GAMEPLAY!! The fighting mechanics are awesome. The dodge/attack is magnificent, the sound effects are wonderfully satisfying. There’s even some hand-to-hand combat that plays better than most fighting games.
Developers, you are clearly gamers with a true love of RPG. This is incredible, imaginative, magnificently programmed, and EXACTLY what an RPG should be. I have been searching for a game like this for years. THANK YOU!!

Great offline game
I have really enjoyed playing this game. I originally bought it because I was going on a cruise but I would not have any connectivity. I found it’s off-line capabilities to be excellent and was able to play it the whole time with no connectivity. I really enjoyed the game especially the leveling, skills that you acquire and what you can do with extracting and enchanting gems. The combat battles are a lot of fun to have because its always a bunch of monsters against just the two of you so you have to be kind of innovative to beat them. I was also very happy about the price for the game and then the two companion games with it at only 399 for the pack well worth the price
