Description
Its main goal is to musically transforms the sounds of objects. When you tap an object while holding the iPhone close to it, the phone picks up the sound and modifies it in realtime so that the sound outputted to your headphones or speakers is more percussive.
You can also use the device's touch screen and accelerometer to modify parameters that shape different percussive sounds, and these parameters can be modified in realtime as well to allow for expressive effects.
***For an optimal user experience, please connect wired headphones to your device. ***
AriVibes uses your device's microphone to capture sound, and allows you to manipulate it in realtime. You can thus get dazzling percussive sounds from your fingers tapping a table. You can try slapping your chair to play a lifelike mandolin. Explore the enthralling sonic possibilities of your city’s streets. Use the on-board looper to get a groove on with literally anything you can get your hands on! You can also record your performances and export them as WAV files (via iTunes).
Please note that the best user experience can be had by connecting wired headphones to the app (as explained in the app's onboarding flow).
The app (or different versions of it) is primarily aimed at sonic artists, as well as regular iPhone users and at professional and semi-professional musicians. Regular iPhone users such as amateur musicians or other fun-seekers will be able to play and create percussive rhythms with objects such as household items (tables, pans, chairs, etc), with the possibility of recording and sharing their performances, or playing along to pre-recorded songs.
