This is so, sooooo bad. There are MUCH better painting apps out there (basically ANY other painting app). Don't waste time nor space with this one.

It's okay
This is a ho-hum kind of app for me. I have pretty much every app that can turn a photo into a painting, either by just pushing a button like this app or by painting and adjusting and working for the final product like in Mobile Monet. The button pushing just doesn't feel as fun and the results are so much less personal. Not to mention how much less control you have over the final results. This app allows you to erase and paint but the spots where you do it stick out like sore thumbs. So, I'm giving the app three stars because I can see how some photos will turn out lovely using what is really just a filter and so it merits the three stars. The UI is friendly as well and overall, the app is polished and well-done.

Great app from a company with great customer service
I downloaded this app and had a problem with it and emailed their customer support. I had a response almost immediately asking me exactly what the problem was so we could figure it out. I was highly impressed with how fast and helpful they were. Well, it turned out that the problem was on my end and not their fault. My app is working perfectly now and I just love it! I love making my photos look like paintings. Many thanks to the Kodama company and looking forward to purchasing more apps from a company that cares about service even after the sale.

Results vary widely
This app leads to some amazingly beautiful results with some photos. When it works well with a photo then I'm usually able to make several different versions that are stunningly good.
With other photos I'm not satisfied with any of the versions no matter how many options I try. You can't seem to force any one particular photo to work well with the app.
I've used Artify on my own art that I've made on the iPad with other apps. In some cases the results make me look like I'm an artistic genius. I'm not bragging. It's all effects. When it works it works. When it doesn't the results aren't at all impressive.
It's been a lot of fun to play with so far. I've already made a Keynote slideshow of my best Artified productions. One cool thing about Artify is that it's letting me get more value from my other iPad art apps.

Beautiful
This app is awesome - I was a bit skeptical, but I pulled in some pics of friends of mine and hit the Artify button and WOW! It's like a painting! Really beautiful. I love how you can use' erase ' with your finger to see the faces clearly too. I love my creations! Easy and cool. 5 stars!
