Description
ASAP | art, a part of ASAP Connect, is an editorially driven application for thinking about lens-based art and media with a focus on South Asia. We present critical and art-historical perspectives through short essays, text and video interviews, curated albums of still and moving images as well as a podcast series. The range of topics covered include the world of media histories, contemporary exhibitionary practices, seminars, publications and grants, among other things. We hope to create public engagement on the interdisciplinary nature and sociopolitical dimensions of visual cultures.
The app was founded by curator Rahaab Allana in February 2021, and is managed by Associate Editor Senjuti Mukherjee. Do visit our Credits page for more information.
The app is supported by the MurthyNAYAK Foundation (MNF), which has a keen interest in aiding trans-media practices in the subcontinent.
With this upgrade, receive notifications on your phone for new articles and share them swiftly through other media.
