If you are interested in mushrooms and live in Denmark, then this app is of interest to you. You can become a part of a bigger community with over 1000 active users helping each other becoming more knowledgable about danish fungal growth. Until now, our users have reported sightings of over 700.000 observations, which has helped increase our collective knowledge overall. All observations can be found on the map, and many are accompanied by photos and other notes.
If you are not living in Denmark, this app could still be of interest to you as we still have functionality that can be used no matter where you are. You are also very welcome to contribute with sightings from wherever you are in the world, as we are alway interested in seeing the differences in growth throughout the world.

• Receive image-based fungi identification suggestions, using our AI image recognitioning technology.
• Upload your observations so that they can be validated by our community and the leading experts on fungi in Denmark.
• Find and se detailed descriptions and images of more than 3000 danish mushroom species.
• Create your own digital mushroom collection for offline usage, so that you always have access to check your favorites when out hunting.
This app has been developed as a part of the project Svampeatlas 2.0 which is a collaborative effort between Center for Makroecology, Evolution and Climate (CMEC) at the Natural History Museum of Denmark (SNM, University of Copenhagen), Danish Mycological Society and MycoKey. The people behind the project group are Tobias Guldberg Frøslev, Thomas Stjernegaard Jeppesen, Thomas Læssøe (SNM) and Jens H. Petersen with Jacob Heilmann-Clausen as project leader.

Note that this application can ask for permission to use your location, which is going to make it easier for your to report sightings as well as find observations near you. Use of GPS technology is subject to worsen your batterlife. Your location is secure and is not accessed by anyone, and are only shared with Fungal Atlas when uploaded as part of an observation.
Technologies such as automatic image recognition is never able to be completely precise, and it is therefore important that usage of the system is used in collaboration with an expert. Do not rely on these suggested identifications if you wish to eat the mushrooms you have found. Danmarks Svampeatlas (Fungal atlas) and Noque ApS disclaims any responsibility for any poisoning or other harmful health conditions.

We have just launched a new version of the Svampeatlas app (version 2.0), this time with quite significant changes and improvements. Most important are:
1) Ændret indberetningsflow. Vi har byttet om på rækkefølgen når man opretter et nyt fund, så man starter med lokalitet, dernæst vælger habitat, substrat og vært for til sidst at vælge art. Ændringen skyldes først og fremmest at vi snart vil lancere en ny forbedret version af vores billedgenkendelses AI, som vil give bedre artsforslag baseret på data om habitat og substrat. Ønsker du fremover at starte med at få et artsforslag kan du stadig bruge funktionen navneforslag i sidemenuen
2) Mulighed for at låse lokalitetnavn og koordinater. Vi har gjort det muligt at låse lokalitetsnavn og eventuelt også fund-koordinater, hvis man indberetter mange fund fra den samme lokalitet, eller fra et enkelt hotspot. Dermed kan man spare tid og batteri i felten og samtidigt få mere konsistente lokalitetsnavne på dine fund. Funktionen kan nulstilles manuelt eller automatisk efter en time.
3) Forenkling af notesbogfunktion. Vi har nu opdateret notesbogfunktionen så den ikke kan anvende AI til artsbestemmelse eller søge efter lokalitetsnavne når du opretter nye noter. Du kan stadig vælge artsnavne fra din artsliste på telefonen og tilføje metadata, men AI og valg af lokalitet aktiveres først når du åbner fundet fra notesbogen igen for at redigere det inden du oploader det til Svampeatlas. Formålet med ændringen er at spare tid og batteri i felten, så du udelukkende kan koncentrere dig om at oprette svampefund. Koordinater kobles enten til de foto du tilføjer i notesbogen eller din placering når en ny fundnote oprettes uden foto. Husk derfor at tage fotos eller oprette noter lige der hvor din svamp er fundet.

- Nu kan du oprette noter i din egen lokale notesbog. Du kan derfor indsamle en masse observationer ude i felten, og vente med at indsende dem til du kommer hjem.
- Appen spørger dig om du vil downloade en taxonliste, som henter hele Danmarks Svampeatlas taxoninformationer ned på din telefon lokalt, så det bliver endnu hurtigere og nemmere at tilknytte en svamp til en observation, helt uden internet.
