Description
This app enables augmented reality visualizations triggered by the Atlas of Material Worlds exhibition.
Atlas of Material Worlds: Mapping the Agency of Matter for a New Landscape Practice is a highly designed narrative atlas illustrating the agency of non-living materials with unique, ubiquitous, and often hidden influence on our daily lives during a time of great change. The exhibition consists of material samples of each of the book’s seven chapters--uranium, lithium, crude, clay, sand, mud, and metabolite—each sample triggering an augmented reality (AR) visualization on a user’s phone or tablet that explores the geographies, industries, and socio-ecological entanglements that exist between human bodies and cultures and the elemental material.
